How to Enjoy More SoundCloud Plays

When you hear elderly folk say stuff like “how times have changed” we may not really understand where they are coming from. Times have really changed and you better believe it.

Who would have thought that a time will come when a person will become a worldwide star from the comfort of his/her living room? No hectic tours, massive media campaigns and other PR stunts meant to constantly put the person in the faces of the people.
This has however happened a number of times and we have these now-stars in our midst to confirm it. Examples include Justin Bieber, Tori Kelly, Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara, James Bay, Austin Mahone and many others some of whom you can read about here. With these shining examples, more independent artists are now hoping to achieve this same kind of rise to stardom.
With a lot of people now trying this route to fame, competition has increased, meaning that you now must make special effort to ensure you stand out. There are a number of platforms on which musicians share their work in a bid to gain recognition. The one we will be focusing on today is SoundCloud.

What Does SoundCloud Have to Offer?

SoundCloud is an audio streaming site where music and podcasts can be listened to for free. It was founded in 2007 and now has more than 270 million users out of which about 76 million are regular monthly users. Its services reach more than 320 million listeners globally every month as they listen to the over 170 million audio uploads that the site hosts.
From the above, you can see that there is a huge opportunity here for musicians. There is a ready audience to which you can sell your skills. Add to this the recent announcement of a licensing deal reached with both Warner Brothers and Universal Music and the platform becomes even more attractive as its listener base is now sure to tremendously increase.
There’s however something you need to consider. On a platform like this, you need to have loads of followers and get a large number of plays to ensure you stand out. With over 170 million different songs and podcasts available for listening and some for downloading, how can a newbie get song plays?
This is exactly what we will be examining in this next section.

How to Get More Plays

We already stated above that you need to have a high number of plays and followers to be able to stand out from the crowd on this platform. With the increase in the competition for the attention of the various users, you must be smart and strategic in the way you go about growing your plays.
Here are a few ways to go about it.

Make Sure Your Profile is Top Notch

Your profile is what will either attract people to your page or repel them. You need a description and profile image that will be sure to attract people to come see what you have on offer.

The Quality of Your Song

There’s no point making any effort at all if what you are offering is sub-standard. Your song must be such that people will love to listen to. When you eventually get them to listen to it, you want them to be blown away and be excited enough to share it with very positive comments.

Your Song Description and Art Design

This is part of what we were referring to above when we said “when you eventually get them to listen to it.” Getting visitors to listen to your song is critical. No matter how great the song is, if no one has listened to it, everything it has to offer will be hidden.
Get a magnetic description as well as an art work that practically draws people in to come listen to your work.

Song Tags

Tag your songs properly to ensure that your song is seen by your crowd. Tags simply help bring songs to their exact crowd. For example, if you are a jazz musician, your song should have tags that include jazz so it can be recommended to jazz lovers.

Increase Interactive Activities on the Platform

After uploading your song on the platform, take some time to search for songs in the same genre as yours. Listen to these songs and comment on them. As you interact with others, you will find that they will feel obligated to repay the effort. In so doing, you can actually get some plays and followers.

Pay for Plays

If you are wondering how to buy SoundCloud plays it’s very simple. All you need to do is find a reputable service that will organize natural plays for you. We are not talking about bots but actual plays. You decide how many plays you want, you pay for it and you get what you pay for. It’s probably the easiest way to get plays.

Conclusion

Increasing your plays on SoundCloud requires a combination of efforts and not just a single approach. We have listed a couple of ways through which you can grow your plays on this platform. Take a holistic approach, buy plays and also go for organic play growth. A combination of these two approaches will yield a faster result.

Cracker Barrel To Start Off The Day In Las Vegas

CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST IN LAS VEGAS...

It is the Big Man's turn to have his comfort food on this new morning.  He suggested going to Cracker Barrel to have a good hearty breakfast.  No one has the heart to turn him down after the two meals of Asian food the day before.

Anyway, I like going to Cracker Barrel... not so much for the food, they taste all pretty much the same to me but because of their nice mini shop at the entrance.  The stuff they sell at the shop are pretty unique... and I don't know why I ended up buying $100 over products from there.  That includes getting a 6x6 feet of quilt!!  Now I am wondering why on earth I bought that!  Regret... regret.. so heavy and it occupies nearly half of my luggage... sigh... don't ever do things on impulse!

Alright, don't cry over spilled milk.... ladies, don't be like me... think first before getting stuff we don't really need...I think I would be wiser after this... LOL...
Cracker Barrel at its prime time...
The deco on the table....
My small portion of breakfast...
Eggs well done...
Some prefer this...
And this...
Followed by pancakes...
Biscuits and cream to go along....
Fresh apple pudding with porridge....
Our breakfast on a sunny day in Las Vegas...

Asian Restaurants In Las Vegas

ALL IN A DAY....

We take it easy this time in Las Vegas... no long drive to Grand Canyon nor Zion.  We spent the next few days in LV walking at the outlet malls instead!  LOL... The man complained why we ladies traveled few hundred of miles just to shop and not to go hiking to the canyons.  It was a relief for us ladies that there were two youngsters to go hiking with him to the Red Rocks... they spent a full day exploring and hiking while we three ladies had a good time walking up and down the malls.... LOL...
Started off the day with Chinese cuisine....
Part of the food we ordered...
Then shopping...
Dinner at Pho Saigon 8 restaurant...
Soupy and Spicy Pho for us...

My Memorable Time With Celine Dion In Las Vegas!

MAIN ATTRACTION IN LAS VEGAS ....

For the past few years I have been planning to watch Celine Dion live concert in Las Vegas but the timing was not right.  The dates we planned did not coincide with her performances... either that or we reached a bit too late or she did not have live performances on the week we arrived and one time, her tickets were all sold out by the time we decided.  However, this year I am so-very Happy that I finally "caught" her!  Thanks to my sister who made the reservation way back in advance... planned our trip... made all the bookings to the hotel and tickets online.... and so on.  Tickets are normally sold online, the cheapest one cost around $180 onwards... yes, we bought the cheapest ones... right at the back but we don't mind.  This is a once-a-lifetime event to me!!

The concert was held in Caesar's Palace at 7.30pm.  We started out early at 6.30pm, parked our car at a nearby hotel and walked a bit.  So glad we finally make it this time... It was Celine's last concert in Las Vegas for that week, after which she will leave Las Vegas as we were told that she has been performing for the last 16 years!
In front of Caesar's Palace...
Finally we are here...
Yes, I am very excited...
The next concert I want to watch is Donny and Marie Osmond!
While waiting to enter the concert hall....
We have to queue up to take this picture!
The Auditorium....
Yes, we were right on top.... on my goodness!!
Doesn't matter... as long as I am here!
At exactly 7.30pm, Celine Dion came on stage...
The excitement begins with her first song
I'M ALIVE...
And ended with her Titanic song...
"MY HEART WILL GO ON"....
One of my most memorable nights I ever had in my life!

Food At TK Noodles And Pea Soup Andersen's On The Way To Las Vegas

ON THE LONG AND STRAIGHT ROADS....

Woke up early to depart for our super long drive to Las Vegas, we planned to start early as 7am but ended up leaving the town only at almost 11am.  LOL.. Change of plans led to the delay, we had a hearty Hongkong breakfast before we set off.  And after driving for 15 minutes, someone realized he left something important behind and had to turn back to retrieve it.  No worries, let's take it easy, he said... The journey normally takes 8 hours... for us, it took more than that, every hour or two, we stopped either for food or call of nature!  LOL... That is normal for golden seniors like us.
Wanton noodles at TK noodles shop...
We ordered two bowls to be shared by 3 of us...
See how enormous they are?  I mean the bowls, of course... LOL...
A couple of hours later, we stopped here.....
Famous for their Pea soup....
At the entrance....
From the place where we were seated...
And this is their Peas Soup....
Healthy looking soup... I like it...
Comes with these cookies and snacks...
Couldn't resist having desserts...
Their Cherry Sundae tempted me enough...
My boss ordered a cherry pie with ice cream... which I tried too...
I still prefer my ice cream!
Our "light" snack after our heavy breakfast....
Footprints before we continued on our journey to Las Vegas...

Well Served Lunch At Olive Garden Italian Kitchen In Sacramento

SOMETHING ITALIAN FOR LUNCH...

Olive Garden serves Italian food, cheap and nice, I would say.  For lunch specials on a two course set starting from $6.99. The special set comes with bottomless soup, four choices to choose from and one main entre.  Cheese stick bread comes in free as well, they are served freshly from the oven, still soft and warm... that is what I love best coming to these restaurants!  I love their freshly baked buns.
Ambiance in the restaurant...
Shredded cheese being served according to own individual....
My Pasta e Fagioli without the cheese...
And someone's plate with lots and lots of cheeseeee!!!
Eaten with Breadsticks...
Never ending soup... so I ordered this next....
Cheese in soup again!
For main entre, my sister ordered angelhair seafood....
Chicken Alfredo Fettucine...
Mine is just Italian spaghetti...
And with cheese toppings!
Good lunch for me... small and light...
Not sure it is enough for the men though... LOL...

Where Am I in 2025

9 MONTHS!  I have been away from this blog for so long... (I thought it was more than a year)  So much have happened and I do not know where...
