Knowing Me, Knowing U...

How well do we know our own siblings? I never thought of that question before because it never cross my mind. As far as I know, I know my own siblings since childhood, as early as 7 years old, earlier that that, I cannot remember much.

Actually this question cropped up yesterday in the hospital by my brother... all of a sudden, he told my sister that he doesn't really know me and my sister very well. I was startled... I never question myself that before.. how well I know my siblings?

Maybe friendship can be measured... how much I know u... or her.. or him..... but my family?

All I can say is I know my siblings inside out. What they feel, I feel too ... after all, aren't we having the same blood and genes? Anyone thought of this before? Do you know your siblings well?

  8. Good Morning ReanaClaire Sweetie...
I love this question, and yes I can honestly say that I know my siblings inside and out. Their likes, dislikes, colors, favorite shows, what they like to eat. Yep I know them.

Sadly maybe your brother has not taken as much time as he should to learn about you and your siblings. Sounds like you sure do. Maybe some changes for your brother. He wants to learn more about you and spend more time with you learning. How fun will that be? I love it sweetie.

I am back to work today. Monday, Monday. Have a beautiful day sweetie. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

  20. You need to constantly get in touch to know each other well. Even if you're having the same blood and genes, if you're not in touch constantly, you'll end up getting distant.

In the past I don't know much about my sisters until we started keeping in close touch and sharing stories with one another.

  21. caroline: nice to hear that..

medie007: i can understand that.. with frens, we have more fun :)

chrisau: discharged already, now in the house..

ilovepink: so u r the baby in your family.. wonderful!

stp: some of us siblings mind our own families in a way, but knowing them well is another thing. maybe we understand each other but only that we dont talk that much...

willie: quite well is good enough.. interacting is another..

cleff: u find her royal pain in yr ass..how about her? wonder what she thinks about u? hehehee...

wenn: that is nice... no rivalry is good enough already..

kiasumum: i can say i know their characters pretty well, but as u said, talking or interacting with them is another thing, yes, the more u talk to them, the bonding is stronger... as for me, we seldom have time together, though we know our characters well, but getting involved with each other is different.. like most of the time, we mind our own family affairs.. no time to really sit down and talk..

However, she's the only one who can bully me. Anybody else bully me, they will mati in her hands! LOL... my sisvery protective of me. =D

  28. Well it's hard to say really! I also never thought on those lines in the past but ya i got to think about it seriously now after reading this post from you.As kids it's easier to say but after becoming adults i think it's difficult to say with assertiveness.

  29. eugene: i think we know their characters well, it is only the bonding.. not so close as we r to some frens.. but we will do our best for them..

gratitude: like chris au.. yeah, frens understand us better..

donna: wait till they get married.. btw, got gf or not? i believe u r the only girl in yr family..

cleff: then u have a wonderful sis, so protective, at least i dont hv to worry about anyone else bullying u..:p

cathJ: i guess most families are like that.. there is surely one who cannot get along with the rest..

ecommercesolutions: i also never ponder about this till now..

  30. Hi Reana, thanx for dropping by n Happy Easter to you too.

This post of yours really gives me seed for thoughts... i cant truthfully answer though...

  31. There will always be a bond with siblings...eventho close or not close. I feel it is a waste if we don't foster a close bond with our siblings coz they are our family and they will be with us till we are old. Unlike friends which MAY stay or MAY GO...
My sisters and I make it a point to meet up for a meal as often as we can just to catch up...
