No need to ask me, I am 100% on Asian food...but of course once awhile I still take pastries and burgers.... but if you put me in a western world, I will not gain but lose weight very fast... :) Very sad... my family used to laugh at me saying that if I were to stay in a western country with no chinese food, my life would be very difficult.... That's me...
So I think I better get adjusted to eating burgers, chicken pies such as this...
Chicken Pie taken at The OZ, Ipoh...
Chicken Burger... I tried half of this and that...
I cannot finish the whole portion actually.. too filling...
I cannot finish the whole portion actually.. too filling...
But give me a bowl of Fish Head Noodles with salted vegetables,
it will be a different story... I can stomach all... hahhaa...
As for desserts, I ordered these...
Black sesame and tapioca"kueh"
Forgot the name of the shop but
it is just directly behind Tuck Kee Restaurant in Pasir Pinji...
If not mistaken the shop is called Di Xia Fang...
Desserts were aplenty there...
I must come by again one fine morning...
Well, I have not tried many other cuisines. We have lots of Chinese and Italian here, some German. BUT I do not think that these foreign restaurants cook actually real food of the other countries, I think they Americanize it! Not like going to the actual country to eat!
ReplyDeletei actually don't care what type of food that is, as long as the food itself is delicious!! telling yourself that your prefer this and that, means you already have some prejudice and you definitely would not enjoy them.. agree?? :)
ReplyDeleteBTW, in this post, i am most attracted to and want to try those kueh!! hahaha.. the colorful ones and also the black ones, looks good lah~~
ReplyDeleteginny: yeah, you are very right! some use their own ingredients..
ReplyDeletesk: if given a preference, I am all asian food eater.. maybe brought up that way cos last time when young, no western food to eat.. now old already, dont know how to enjoy! :)
I like to eat both but can't eat much due to having a "small" stomach.
ReplyDeleteHigh Five...I prefer Asian food. We two can share the chicken burger. The food looks so good.
ReplyDeleteOooooo...I love those blue & white plates.
ReplyDeletethats really weird! cause i like western food a lot! lol
ReplyDeleteOn a daily basis of course Malaysian food but occasionally western pun boleh tahan.
ReplyDeleteAt one time was so crazy over the pastries at one French cafe with initial 'D' but now hardly go anymore. Dunno the reason why, maybe at that time it was a craze in Penang or could be convenience.
ReplyDeleteIf the kueh in front of me right now, how nice, lol..
ReplyDeletemun: me too.. small stomach but like to eat!
ReplyDeleteirene: lets share.. hahaha..
stp: so u r for western!! great!
ReplyDeletehenry: each of us have our own preference I guess :)
bananaz: same like u.. occasionally ok.. by the way what is capital D? :)
ReplyDeletesharon: I also wish too! :)
I am also 100% Asian food lover & would be happier to eat hot spicy food!!! Sweats! Sweats!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't eating any Asian food for 23 days when i was having my roadtrip in Europe. Maybe this is due to i like western food since young. So, I have no problem to survive without Asian Food for months.
