Can I Resist Rasa Lain In Bercham, Ipoh?

It has been almost a year or more since I went to Rasa Lain in Bercham.  It took me around half hour to reach this place and the best time to go there is around 6pm... go a bit later, the tables will be occupied especially during weekends.

This Rasa Lain is a corner coffeeshop and it is famous for their claypot glass noodles.  Inside the clay pot, we can choose either seabass fish, prawns, crabs to go with the glass noodles.  As yours truly is controlling her cholesterol, she opted for fish in claypot glass noodles.
Seabass in claypot...
The fish is very fresh and with the wine ginger soup,
the combination is truly great!
Really Sweat!  LOL...
Eat while it is served otherwise the glass noodles will "swell up!"
I lost count how many bowls I have taken... :)
We ordered some fresh fish balls too...
It cost around RM1 or RM1.20 each...
No fishy smell... worth eating one or two each....
Last and not least... some nicely and neatly arranged Steamed Clams....
oopppsss... I am not supposed to take these...
But how to resist when they were served like this?
Hope I won't start scratching myself tonight...
For the three dishes, the bill came to around RM80...
What do you say?  A bit pricey, right?
Well.....

  1. I cant take glass noodles. My stomach cant digest them and I'll ended up throwing up. I used to love eating them when I was younger and always wondered why I always throw out after.. :(

  5. I think you can eat like this now because you are on medicine. And if you can eat what you like, then NO stress, right?

  6. No, no, no, no!!! You can't touch those clams!!! Have to refrain for as long as you can. No prawns, no crabs...stick to fish. They say for shingles, chicken and eggs are no good either. I had rice with soy sauce for a long time...till I was sure it would not recur...

  16. I don't think the price is expensive. Seabass in claypot - I would like to eat this very much. I also can't take glass noodles if it is not soft enough - will have indigestion.

About shingles, I don't remember my husband refraining from eating any type of food (as you know western doctors do not have "kai hou") but he did rest a lot and take it easy and of course drink lots of water.
