Firefly Scare And Safety

Aaron' s flight was supposed to land at 4.30pm in Ipoh....but he sent a message saying that the plane was having some kind of system failure and only allowed to baord the plane at 5.30... So we estimated that he would reached Ipih at 7pm...

Upon reaching airport, we were informed that his plane landed in Subang airport instead of Ipoh... This time it seems that the right engine was having some problem.... What a nightmare for those passengers on board...

We left the airport and went to hospital while waiting for further news from Aaron.  Prayed that all would be well... And at 8.50pm, he boarded the plane again, consoling us that it is another plane and not the one with engine problem...

At around 9.30pm,  we saw the passengers coming out from the immigration... phew....Everyone at the airport had a sign of relief on their faces...

It is the longest flight ever .... Six hours to reach Ipoh from Singapore...

But despite that, I will still take Firefly... It is the only accessible flight to go Singapore from Ipoh...
Ipoh Immigration

Thank God for the journey mercies...

  1. Praise the Lord. Arrived & landed safely.

  2. At first i thought you coming Singapore, hehe...

  3. At first i thought you coming Singapore, hehe...

  4. Good grief!!! Firefly used to ply Sibu-Kl once...and before I got the chance to try, they terminated the service. Now, there is Malindo - I hear delays can last for hours...and they can cancel the flight anytime - when they do not have enough passengers. I'd rather stick to MAS...or Air Asia - 6 flights a day.

  5. Irene: yes, thank God....

    Sharon: hope to go soon...

Stp: safety comes first..that is why the delays..

  6. 6 hours??? Sampai trengganu lo if driving

  7. Eh, thought you are taking a break from blogging? Hehe...

  8. Thank goodness everything is well. Take a break, Claire and wish your mom speedy recovery from the op. Take care. Hugs.

  9. It's indeed a scary experience for Aaron. Anyway all's fine. God bless!

  10. taking flight is taking risk too..but we still have to take those flights any how. Have a nice holiday break during Raya. Wishes go to your mum for her speedy recovery.

  11. What a scary, scary thing! I am s glad all is well now.

  12. Really what a scare. Glad to hear everything was ok in the end.

  13. I can imagine all the anxieties! Goodness long! The waiting must be hard.

  14. Don't forget to give me a call, when you come Singapore... hehe...

  15. hayley: yes, I think I am going to.. on and off... something seems to be missing though...

    kathy: hai lo.. kei geng!

  16. well such instances would be my nature of work haha

  17. I took Firefly once and it flew during the thunderstorms! Goodness, it tossed and rocked like hell. My face turned pale like sheet. The plane is small and scary!

Thank God that he reached safely to your arms!

  18. I didn't know there are flights from SG to Ipoh. Usually the flight takes how long to reach the destination?

  19. Yes, scary but it is very convenient for ipohians...only that the rates are a bit too high...

  20. Okay... that's scary LOL. Didn't know there's a direct flight from SG to Ipoh too.

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
