The Mystery Of The Missing Letter

Each time my girl applied for scholarships to respective companies, I would help her to send them out by courier.  I normally use "Fast Post" to courier down the documents and I take granted that they will reach the destinations safely.

But it is not so.....

As I was tidying  up my office drawer during lunch time, I saw the receipts.  Out of curiosity, I logged into their website and keyed in the tracking number one by one.

To my shock and dismay, there was one document that was not delivered successfully!   And that was dated in May this year..... Too late to do anything.... my fault for not checking earlier.... I wonder where the documents has gone to.... I checked the address of the slip, they were written correctly... till today, I do not know why it was not delivered...

One question... Does the courier company inform the sender if the document is not delivered successfully?

Latest Update :
I called up the Pos Laju, it seems that the tracking cannot be done after 3 months from the date of sending.  Since my letter is in May, they already deleted the record online... but the staff on the line checked the tracking number for me, the document was successfully sent and received!

Summary:  Not the Fast Post's fault but mine cos I only tracked it yesterday..... Sorry!!

  1. The effectiveness and efficiency level of malaysian posting system are still questionable lol, documents are often lost and couldn't be retrieved.

  2. I thought if unable to deliver they are supposed to return to sender? I also assume it's delivered if they never returned to me.

  3. huh?? really not delivered or they did not update the status to the system?? hmmm, if you are using the "Fast Post", you have all rights to claim for compensation if the mail is lost.. they are responsible for the delivery and i would say, liable, instead..

  4. Yup, it should be returned if undelivered. That is why I will track right away after sending something and haunt them when something has note been delivered - go to their Facebook page, send email...and here, I would march to their office to demand an explanation.

If poslaju, the charges are so I would expect nothing less than excellence. If they can't provide that, then they should not charge so much!

  5. ken: i wonder if I can claim back after so long.. :)

kathy: yes, i also assumed that .. so i thought it was delivered safely until i checked..

  6. sk: tomorrow i go back and check the receipt again... when i am free, i will go to their office and check..

stp: i am also puzzled.. i better go and rechecked one more time.. and when i am free, i would like to find out more even though it doesn't serve any more purpose now..

  7. I always take for granted too especially if it's pos laju.

  8. For pos laju, I always do the tracking. Can check the mail successfully delivered or not.

  9. Did you have to pay them? You need to get your money back? Maybe use a different courier?

  10. I thought they will automatically return it to you if not delivered. Yes I agree to ask them to find out where it is or claim for non delivery even though it is after so long.

  11. wenn: me too...

irene: from now on, I must do that too..

ginny: it has been more than 6 months.. not sure how to claim back..

  12. mun: i tracked again just now.. the message there written.. no search was found.. asked me to contact their number..

  13. They should return to you if not delivered...

  14. Sometimes we trusted the courier co so much that we don't bother to check it.

  15. sharon: i will call them up and see..

ling: yes, i guess now we have to...

  16. This is interesting topic. Please come back and update us after you made noise with them!!
They are supposed to inform you and return you undelivered stuffs.
I use UPS and Federal Express for my orders from USA. They send me emails to let me keep track and that's very good!

  17. TM, yes, FED express is efficient.. I will definitely call this PL again!

  18. Phew!!!! False alarm! What a relief!

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t
