Rainforest Trees At The Taiping Lake

My last trip away from home was the Singapore getaway in the middle of September, seems like a long time to me though it was only around two months ago. So when my friend suggested to go Taiping for a short trip, I didn't hesitate, after all, Taiping is just less than an hour away from Ipoh...

I started the journey early on Saturday and we had a nice stroll at the Taiping lake... due to the rain, the plants and the trees glitter and the lake is not "drought looking" anymore...
We parked our car at the hotel and started our stroll here...
And then I realize I forgot to bring my camera... sigh...
First time capturing flowers using my iPhone 3...
I don't know the name of this flower.. how about you?
Can never grow tired of admiring the greens here in Lake Gardens...
 Serene looking, ain't they...
Even this tree caught my eye....
Looking at the pictures now, I must not underestimate my iPhone 3 leh....
Saw a group of Bird watchers... they are from the Nature Society....
Love the reflections...
Can someone spot a No Entry sign in the lake?
I wonder why the sign is there...
Maybe they are forbidden to enter that area....
I mean the row-row, row your boat-ers.....
Walk coming to an end...
Soon we reached the hotel after one big round...

I heard one time they wanted to cut down the Rainforest trees!
But after much protest, it was called off...
Such beautiful greens....
Such a beautiful place to visit... time and time again...

  9. i heard Taiping is just 45min drive from Ipoh, can go there more often lah since it's so near.. and this Taiping Lake is ever so beautiful, from the photo it looks like those overseas scenery printed on the calendar.. of course when you are there, surely don't feel that, mainly because of the weather and also the people :p

  19. What a nice place for a walk if the weather is not too hot. Angeline is correct, the flower is a lily - spider lily.
