Chee Cheong Fun From Ipoh And Kuala Lumpur

Woke up early this morning, prepared myself to go for a good breakfast and the first thing that came to my mind is the Canning Garden Chee Cheong Fun.
Few years ago, it cost RM2.50 and today it is RM3.50...
I got a feeling that the business is not as brisk as those days... queuing up to buy...
With the hike increase, people are now more cautious with the food....
But I don't mind paying a bit for this homemade Chee Cheong Fun...
Eating Chee Cheong Fun by itself is not so "kick"....
So normally I ordered a few of these fish balls variety to go with it...
This is my kind of breakfast...
Taken in Canning Garden just oppsoite the market....
Coincidentally my brother sent me an image of CCF too..
His kind of Chee Cheong Fun is like this...
His is from Kuala Lumpur...
Mine is from Ipoh....
Totally different, right?

    3. Ken, Yes, I do!! Normally I do not take the CCF from Penang cos it is all about black sauce.. hahahaa...

STP, dim sum ones are different, those are called Hongkong CCF... whereas these are called local ones with different styles of making..

  2. Lots of similarities - the fun, the sesame seeds, the fried onions, only the sauce is different! Both of you like to have ccf swimming in the sauce too!

  4. The one in KL is totally different than the one I usual had at Kepong, this's way more too much of the "soup" or the "source"!!! O.o!!!

    1. In Ipoh, we can choose our own sauce.. whether we want it mushroomy or dry with just chillie, sweet sauce or just plain with green chillies
