Different Taste As In Rasa Lain In Bercham, Ipoh

It has been quite a long while since I came by here for dinner. This shop has been in Bercham for many years and it is famous for their claypot glassnoodles with either prawns, fish or crabs.  The signature dish is their claypot glassnoodles or rice with crabs (need to pre-order first) but we did not order neither this time.

We ordered these below and they were not a good combination because not one of them have gravy to go with our rice...  That shows how "unprofessional" I am when it comes to ordering food....
Steamed clams....
This is the only dish with a dash of sauce....
(I think this one includes labour charges for arrangement)
Testing my camera's macro....  not too bad, right? :)
Makes the clams look bigger than they really are....
Their steamed Sato Fish Balls...
Crispy Honey Pork Ribs
Crispy fried fish (Sar Chui)
Andy's favourite - Eggplants with dried shrimps...
The food is not too bad, only thing is they are a bit too dry, all thanks to me...
The name of the shop is called "Different Taste" (Rasa Lain) in Bercham...
The price came to around RM90...
Next round.. just the claypot glassnoodles will do...

  1. I love the looks of the steamed clams and deep fried fishes. My mum used to deep fry them at home too. I couldnt get this fish in the market in Sibu.

The food looks good and yeap, you should ordered soup but I guess everyone has drink so you can go without soup. ;)

  8. The fried fish looks very delicious! I don't mind not having sauce (eating "dry food"). If too dry, just order another dish with lots of sauce will do. That is only if still have space in the stomach for one more dish. The lala looks good too.

The first dish, yummm, we have similar ones here in the famous Lala Chong restaurant, "seong tong lala", sedapppppp.. Best in the world !!

  12. Oh I think I've been looking for this restaurant for a long time!

There's also another one in Bercham, that specializes in some kind of fish head noodle, or maybe I'm mistaken?

    The steamed clams looks good.
