Farewell Lunch At Mandarin Kitchen Restaurant In Farlim, Ipoh

Another farewell lunch for one of my colleagues who has actually retired in March but due to unforeseen circumstances, the treat is postponed until this afternoon! Bless her, she did not mind the least, as long as we are together again to have a good chat and meal, it is all that counts.

One of my colleagues suggested Mandarin Kitchen Restaurant in Farlim.  I was all for it because I have never been there before.  In less than thirty minutes from our office, we arrived at the restaurant and had a good time tasting the glorious food here.... (besides the non-stop conversations!)

So... what did my friend order..... hmmmmm...... good choices ahead...
Salted egg with bitter gourd... plus crispy cuttlefish as toppings...
Sweetened Honey Meat!
Greens with some dash of yam and toppings as shown....
I ate a lot of these.... greens, I mean.. :)
Another type of greens.... brinjals, smelly beans, long beans and "kangkung"
Moist and crispy beancurd!
Steamed and salted chicken....
Curry Fish Head!
And for the 10 of us, these dishes were just enough...
Who says ladies are small eaters!?
The evergreen appetites!
Happy Retirement to you, Nan!

  9. I think the first dish is tasty enough without the crispy cuttlefish. Ten ladies only - that's why I see the dishes are not polished clean. Well Happy Retirement to your ex-colleague. Next makan will be for your farewell. :D
