Good Choice At Kok Hing At Taman Bukit Maluri, Kuala Lumpur

For dinner, my family was taken to Taman Bukit Maluri (not sure where the place is, don't ask me... hahahahaa) Since I have a poor memory, I quickly keyed in the name of the place into my phone so that when I blog about this today, I have the names in hand.

Kok Hing is the name of the eatery shop, it is not exactly a shop, I think it is situated next to the market in Bukit Maluri and night market is held there too at a certain weekday if not mistaken. I was told that booking must be made in advance especially when we go around 7pm, if no booking, we have to sit outside on the street. But since we booked beforehand, we were ushered into the "shop."
When we arrived, the tables were nearly filled up...
Most of them were reserved...
We waited almost half an hour before the dishes arrived...
I was told that this is a family business...
Even the cooks are related to the owners...
Their signature dishes.... Crispy Fried Fish....
Curry Assam Squids with Okra...
Very appetizing....
Stewed Yam... very tasty!!
I like this too....
Not sure what it is but it tasted like honey sweetened sourish meat...
Mixed vegetables....
Sorry for the blurry Yam Pot....
I was leaning my body to the opposite direction that my hands shook...
maybe too hungry already...
This needs no introduction....
Steamed Chicken... special for that night...
For eight dishes, I was very surprised that the bill came to around RM150 only!!
There were ten of us and the food was more than enough.....
Good choice... I would like to come here again....

  8. The food is so cheap. I must find this place in kepong and eat there one day. Sourish meat sounds interesting - is the meat sourish or just the sauce is sourish?
