Claypot Chicken Rice Ingredients

It has been a long time since I had chicken claypot rice. Actually I don't really like to eat them outside, if home cooked, then it is different.  I remember I used to cook this when my kids were very young cos it is easy to do... just dump everything into the rice cooker and that was it...  LOL...

But since Sunday is a day of rest, we went out all the way to K10 Claypot Rice in Bercham for our dinner.  Nothing fanciful... in fact, nothing to shout about... I think cooking them in the house is much more nicer than eating outside....
This was how it was served in K10...
We have to stir it up ourselves...
Another plate of greens to go with the rice....
The only thing I like here are the Pork Balls...  70 sen each, no joke!
We ordered 4 big claypots and the total bill came to RM81....
Cheap or not, I think I will not take claypot rice for a long long time....
Homecooked ones are much nicer..
Can put in more chicken, sausages and salted fish!!
So... what other ingredients can be added in?

  3. Homecooked is always the best as we can add extra and as much ingredients as we like. Wow, 70 cents per pork ball, so expensive. How much does that bowl of pork balls cost?

  4. homecooked ones sure more good liao one.. but then it will depend on the occasion lah.. if only one person eating, then really don't bother to trouble, having it outside is more convenient and cheaper.. but if there is a big group of people, and all very picky mouth, then cooking it at home surely would give you more advantage.. BTW, okay lah this K10 claypot chicken rice~~

  5. Pork balls here are all above RM1 each so 70cents is considered very good. Can add chinese black mushrooms into the claypot chicken rice.

    2. Not really that much bigger. I think size is about the same. If you come to kl you can eat the pork balls at ipoh chicken rice shop (midvalley has an outlet opposite oldtown). Costs rm1.2 each I think.

Why have you moved the links from the column on the right? I clicked the "daily read blogs" - does not seem to update correctly - old post in somebody's blog indicated as say, "4 hours ago"... Was very convenient to use to blog-hop when it was just by the side.

  12. I love Claypot chicken rice and thought that it has to be cooked by restaurants only over hot flaming burners to get the burnt bottoms! That's the secret for its fragrance to ooze out.
