From Japanese Sushi To Chinese Dim Sum In Ipoh

The festive week holidays are over and tomorrow school will reopen once again.  My girl is back to college after a seven days break last week.  As usual when she is back home, she will like to go here and there for her favourite food.   During the past few days while I was working, she was out with her friends for meals and now coming to think of it, we had only two meals outside our home....

Her favourite two "hotspots" are none other than Japanese Sushi and Dim Sum...
We were here at Sushi Tei at the Parkson Parade on Friday night...
Opened not too long ago and this was my first time going there...
Part of the food we took.....
Not sure of the names..
But I guess this is a common sight in Japanese food...
I can only remember this...
It is called Penthouse....
they really look like "houses" here..
Something to do with "Lobster Salad"
I don't feel full nor satisfied when it comes to eating Japanese food...
The thing is I don't know how much rice I have put into my mouth..
I just put them in and in.... till I surrender...
The next morning we went to a new DIM SUM shop in SOHO, Ipoh ...
It is called Lok Hin Dim Sum Restaurant...
Handmade Noodles with "Dan Dan" sauce... RM6.00
As usual the egg tarts will not escape her eyes.... RM4
Barbequed Buns  RM4
Out of the above, this one only looks kind of special...
Yam with pumpkin.... very nice and tasty... RM5
For the above plus our chrysanthemum, it cost RM26....
Well, I guess eating Dim Sum is not cheap, right?

  1. Though not a fan of Japanese food but still it looks good to me. Having said that, between the two, I still prefer the Dim sum combo. All looks so nice especially the deep fried yam & pumpkin. So cripsy looking. Makes me drooled.

  5. Japanese food and dim sum are my favourite food too. I seldom see the pumpkin and yam dim sum here. Must be very tasty. Yes, I check the bill most of the time. Your daughter looks good. She must be happy to be home for 7 days last week.

  6. Nah nah nah, that is what I call egg tart lah, not those wannabes that I usually see in Penang.
I prefer Sushi Tei's set lunch menu, I feel they are better value and better tasting compared to their ala carte choices..
