Amica In Ipoh Garden South, Ipoh

Come Sunday, the four of us "scratched" our heads again... thinking of the place for our breakfast... or should I say brunch? It was almost 11am when we set out from our house and I drove south this time... I mean we ended up in Ipoh Garden South...

There are a few coffeeshops there and I guess most of the good food would have finished by this time.  I did not have any shop in mind when Amica caught my eye.  Amica is along the RHB Bank in Ipoh Garden South, just opposite Pretty Pets.

There were still a crowd there so I guess the food was not finished yet... True enough... food is still abundant there except for the nyonya cakes and kueh.... but the Uncle's dumplings caught my eye... I ordered a few of these to eat while waiting for the food....
I chose one of each... they look different from the normal ones...
The black one is nice.. charcoal something?
The filling is kaya, I like it...
Then the flower type of dumpling is also nice, my girl likes it...
And the last yellowish one has black sesame fillings...
I got up again and went to get another two types...
This one also looks special...
Has black sesame and white on the outside...
And the filling is mashed sweet potatoes!
Something I like to eat too....
Each of these dumpling cost RM1.50
Tried their steamed glutinous rice too...
Not bad... tasty... RM3.50 is not too steep...
As for the food, we ordered Chee Cheong Fun...
My friend ordered it actually and she said "Okay-la..."
This is mine.... not a good choice...
The noodles are just too little for me...
hahahahaa...
 My girl ordered Hakka noodles...
I didn't try it but she finished all of it... so it must be good...
It came with a bowl of wanton noodles...
And her friend ordered a plate of Wanton noodles with Braised Duck....
The Hakka noodles and this one above only cost RM7...
Good pricing!
I will try this one day....
And of course, the dumplings too....
I like all of them!

  9. Ipoh has a lot of Hakka is it? Because looks like Hakka noodle is pretty common there. Not so in Kuching although Hakka and Hokkien are predominant. ;)

Indeed unique-looking buns you ordered. Very creative.

Seems like now the trend for dumplings have expanded and stuffed with almost anything edible & nice.
Just like crow's meat pies and dumplings as example! Ever tried this yummy and blueky food? LOL
I experienced a lot of dumplings in China that send my eye brows up. They even have salted vegies, rabbit meat and anything.... Eeeeeeeee

Mini Birthday Celebration At August Healing, Ipoh

GETTING HEALED AGAIN... this time four of us went to August Healing for other sweet and savoury delights.  This time when we went up to the little cafe, the tables were all occupied except for one.  Next time we must not go during lunch time.  Mistake....  Anyway, we managed to get a table near the window while waiting for another two of my friends to arrive.  First time visit for them and I hope they like the food there as much as I like them.  We ordered three different varieties to share as we had a heavy breakfast in the morning....  Which shall I choose? Berries bread pudding today....  Forgot what this is called....  Garlic honey scones...  Coffee for my friends.... As for me, I had Chamomile tea....  We ordered one croissant to share.... Smoked duck and omelette fillings... Full to the brim... RM15....  Quiche again.... different fillings this time... RM15 And a Happy Birthday piece of cheese cake... RM14.. Though just a few varieties, we were very full.... For dinner, I just ha

Two Dishes One Soup Dinner

AUNTIE'S SIMPLE COOKING... for dinner on one evening.... Defrosted a piece of cod, my last piece in the freezer besides another few more pieces of other types of fish.  I think I consume the most fish this year, never bought so many types of fish before.  Maybe it is made easier for me this year cos of the online shopping at Gracious, cleaned, vacuumed and free delivery above RM50.   My last piece of cod.... A plate of greens called Yau Mak...  Not so sure what it is called in English And chicken herbal soup....  My complete meal for one evening....  As usual, I do not take much rice... Or perhaps I did not take rice at all for this meal....  LOL...

Freshly Baked With Love From Breadlady

BUNS AND PIES... freshly baked with Love.... printed on a brown paper bag, delivered by her handsome son right to my doorstep!  LOL.... Saw it on Facebook, one of my friends put up the fresh curry buns she ordered.  Yours truly saw and salivated and the next thing, I have the details I needed.  During the weekdays, the Breadlady has different kinds of buns and on Saturdays, she makes shepherd pies.  Since I got the details on Friday, I quickly messaged her and ordered 5 packets!  No, I did not eat them all, I ordered for my friends too, they have the same common interest as I do.  LOL...  ' Each set of shepherd pie comes with 2 fresh buns costing RM15.   I like her packing.... Brown paper bag with this slogan... Freshly baked with love...  The pies were still warm when they were delivered to right to  my doorstep with no extra charge... So nice! This was my lunch on Saturday.... I like the buns too...fresh and soft... One is filled with cranberries and apple.. And the other one is
