Oyster Noodles At Hock Chuan Heong, Penang

On the traveling mode again... yes, we made a trip up north this time... since she is still on semester break, it is a good idea to utilize to the fullest... let her relax a bit before the "exam war" starts again... How often do we have time to travel together, I always tell myself that... Kids grow up fast and soon they will be on their own.. so meanwhile before they do, I take the opportunity to be with them as often as I can... one of the reasons why I retire.... ok, ok... I won't dwell on that now...
Driving on a highway can be relaxing too...
Provided the co-passenger don't "grumble" so much.. right??
We reached our destination around noon...
Time for our Lunchie!
Arriving before noon is the best time.. otherwise the crowd will be here..
This shop is along Macallum Street...
Famous for oysters noodles!
Nearer vision....
A very generous share of oysters..
Leeks with their homemade beancurd...
And soup with starchy meat....
A Hokkien dish... but I cannot remember the name....
My girl and I are not used to eating this....
For us, this type of meat goes well with tomato sauce....
hahahaa...
Anyway, many thanks to my friend who brought us to this place....
I would love to come again for the noodles and the leeks anytime!

  8. I felt so ashamed that I have not eaten in that shop before. When I balik kampung I am tempted to try but not 3 bowls. So expensive.
