Ipoh Breakfast And Lunch Treasures

THIS WEEKEND WAS FILLED WITH FUN AND LAUGHTER!   One of my "Empat Sekawan" came up to visit us and we had a wonderful time catching up with another.. Four of us slumbered in my house for the weekend and it was all noise, talking on top of our voices without any restrictions... What more can one ask... Good true friends are not easy to come by... I am indeed very blessed with so many good friends!  Another capital F is not forgotten too... FOOD!

We woke up earlier than usual and took our breakfast in Pulau Sembilan coffeeshop in Taman Boon Bak.  Within three days, I came by this place for the same food... same stall....
We ordered two versions to try....
This is the dry version of chicken koay teow....
Who says Malaysian food is "healthy?"
As long as tasty, we tend to overlook the "unhealthy" side, right?
The soupy version for my friend to try....
She likes it!
Price per bowl is RM4.40

Fast forward.... for lunch we went to Sin Hup Heng Chaizhou Restaurant for plain porridge with a few selective signature dishes...
 Salted crispy meat....
Stewed cabbage... not to be missed...
Warm from the wok ... Salted kembong fish... very nice!
Bitter gourd with eggs... hot and nice...
Leeks is my favourite too!
Five dishes for the four of us...
And the bill came to RM43 with porridge and drinks....
I can take porridge anytime... my favourite..
After all, I am a Teochew nang! :)

  1. Wahhhhhh!!!!! You really are coming back with a vengeance eh? So deprived for two months. Great to go and visit, spend some time...but east west, home is best - no place like home, they always say!
