Dinner At Gunong Rapat And Ipoh Garden

MY IPOH KITCHEN IS NOT OPENED YET... due to some renovation, the place is still in a mess! I really dread any repairs in the house, there is so much dust everywhere, everything needs to be cleaned up again... and again... sigh... Well, after a long holiday, it is time to work, right? Got to start somewhere and the most appropriate place is right in our own Sweet Home! :) And that is what my project is.. this minor renovation will keep me occupied for at least a week or two before I start to pack again... hahahaa... 

Since I cannot use the kitchen as yet, I have to take my main meals outside... for tonight's dinner, I drove all the way to Gunong Rapat Main Road to take "not-so-healthy" food again... The tasty ones are always not so healthy... why is it so???  Anyway, moderate portions and once awhile, it should be alright, kan?  *Self consolation again*

I made the orders.... Fried Koay Teow..
Big noodles was next and it was so "lardy" fragrant!
The side order is crispy fried Wanton!  They seem oil-less though... 
It is RM3 per plate... still hot and fresh...
Eaten with Sambal Belacan is the best option...
As if the above meal was not enough, we adjourned to Ipoh Garden Gourmet Square...
 For a plate of RM6 rojak...
I didn't take much... my teeth is feeling weird!
But a bowl of Creamy Ice Kacang managed to tempt me...
Over here in Malaysia, we have fresh santan to use
whereas in my sister's place, all they have is tin can santan... 
Fresh or tin can, I should not indulge too much in it...
But then again, once awhile is "acceptable"... kan?

  1. hahaha, even if your ipoh kitchen is opened, i guess the ratio of cooking to eating out also very low lah, haha!! wow, today's dinner is rather, errrmmmm, oily huh?? all the fried noodles and the deep fried stuffs, plus Malaysian style desserts, well no need to elaborate more on Malaysian desserts, right?? haha.. but like you said, once in a while, acceptable lah..

  3. I like the fried big fat noodle with sambal belacan and the dessert but without the coconut milk. Oh! you wrote "start to pack again"? Ha ha...where are you flying to next???

  5. Oh yes, I dislike renovation too.. Even a minor one.. The whole place is dusty and dirty.. And with toddlers around, lagi teruk.. No mood pun.. Ooooo that rojak looks so so good, so much sauce.. I only want pineapples, sengkuang and keropok in my rojak :)

  7. cannot "open" kitchen yet so got excuse to find nice food ya. hahahahaha......Ya me dislike renovation too. too many things to "chap". say only nothing...still have a lot to do

  13. I eat the big noodles before at Jurong Point Malaysia Boleh, starting not bad, now i didn't for quite sometimes liao as so so only...

  14. While u enjoy life as a retiree, I think u should eat less outside and eat more home cooked food. This is to help maintaining a healthy body, not for the sake of yourself, but for the sake of your children, who eventually will be taking care of you. I am sure you do not want to be a burden to them, due to Heath reason. Having lots of fun now by eating unhealthy food may not be wise, after all..
