NIJYUMARU Japanese Restaurant At Taman Sutera, Johor

HEARD ANDY BOOKING A RESERVATION WHILE I WAS IN THE ROOM... wonder what transpired between brother and sister earlier and when he finished calling, he said "Let's go! They can only reserved the place until 7.30pm..." And it was almost 7pm when we left our place and the road to Sutera Mall was quite jammed up... However we reached the place five minutes before the reservation time. We did not have to wait and were ushered inside almost immediately...
 How to pronounce this?
Actually I didn't know the name of the place they booked...
I just followed... quietly.....
Must be very popular here....
Nice ambience....  happy smile....
And now the food....
This came first... as appetizer....
Must be ordered by my girl.....
 My girl's ramen....
Andy's bento...
My Kimchi Fried Rice....
Terriyaki Mackerel...
Salted Squid.... taste like salted crabs!
Ok...my dear, I didn't take a lot.. just moderately....
And the total cost for this dinner came to RM105...
No wonder one needs to make reservation and the place is pretty crowded each night....
Food was great... nice ambience... easy parking....
Weekend meals have come to an end...
It is back to Home Cooking again after this!

    1. Maybe it is because of the salted that reminded me of the salted crab as well...

  5. First time commenting on your wonderful blog. \(^-^)/
"NI-JYU-MARU (pronounced as Ni-Juu(zu-u as in juicy) Maru)" means a double circle or a circle within a circle. It literally means "very good".

I was first attracted to your food blog (^o^); but upon further reading, your cheerful personality, close family bond and faith make visiting your blog a blessed encounter.

      # I don't own a blog but enjoy browsing interesting blogs; especially those on food!

  8. I still have not acquired a taste for Japanese food...everything looks nice as long as no raw ingredients.

  9. This is one of the better Japanese restaurants in JB. They have two branches, one near Sutera Mall here and Permas Jaya. I have been to both and it's not easy to get a seat, usually you have to reserve. Anyway, their food is fresh and nice as well as they served quite promptly. A good place for Japanese food, I thought of bring you guys here last time but ended up dim sum....

  11. Strange name for a restaurant. If we translate literally, it means "Two Heavy Balls"... oh gosh... I wonder if there is an actual meaning to this name!

But I agree the food looks great lah... I'd have the ramen and squid!
