Affordable Prom Dresses And Gowns

Last Thursday my daughter came home to attend an interview which was held on Friday morning. And her interview lasted till noon and I was thinking that we could have lunch together after that. But no, she has her own plans, in fact her schedule was very tight because she had to attend the prom night in a hotel that evening.  After her interview, she went to pick up one of her friends and both of them went for dress hunting and some other musical drum cases for their project.  Oh my goodness, at the very last minute, she wanted to get some shopping done!

Normally last minute shopping does not end up having the dress that you really want or like.  True enough, she bought home a dress that did not lift up to its expectation, the workmanship was so poorly done, I was so shocked to see the lining was sewn up so badly that one side is shorter than the other.  Oh my goodness, I was so disappointed and we made a trip back to the shop to get it done there and then.  But of course, the shop owner does not accept last minute alterations and because of that, my girl had to get it done up somewhere else.  Well, I couldn't blame her, she was in a rush that she did not look carefully on the seams and workmanship and due to my fractured leg, I could not go shopping with her.

Then the next evening she had to attend a friend's wedding dinner and she did not want to wear the same prom dress again for that evening.  Instead she looked through her closet and found a black tight fitting dress to wear for now.  And since she is going to buy a few more dresses for the festive season, I quickly browsed through some online websites which offers beautiful and  dresses for her age.  I am sure she will love this lovely blue dress and A-line sweetheart mini gold tuelle dress here.  Both look so sweet and they are suitable for her age.

As for myself, I love to have these evening dresses!  Since I have lost a couple of pounds, I think I will consider buying these two to attend a special wedding dinner next year!

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
