Reanaclaire Steams - Ginger Lemon Fish

NORMALLY I DO NOT WRITE ANY POSTS ON SATURDAYS.... I make it a point to rest my blog on Saturdays but since I have achieved something nice and tasty, I am all excited to share... Caring is not only sharing but sacrificing as well..... so Now I am sacrificing my time to share this.... hahahhahaa... just kidding!!

This afternoon I went to AEON again but this time in Station 18, my friend is very gracious, yes, driving me to a shopping mall again and wheeling me here and there.... And I ended up buying some more groceries and that included a piece of fish that cost me nearly RM18!!  I thought of putting it back into the tray... but..... feeling self conscious of people looking, I decided not to.... hahahahaa...

Might as well.... Eat and Be Merry.... So what did I do with the RM18 piece of fish?
I steamed it since it was so fresh and .... er... expensive!
Thought of making assam curry...but no, better steam it while it is nice and fresh....
I did it Thai style... or I thought it was Thai style.....
Diced a lot of ginger...
Lemongrass....
One tomato...
One big onion....
A dash of salt...
A teaspoon of lemon powder!
*For spicy lovers, add in some cilipadi, lagi sedap!!*
Then steam for around 10 minutes.....
And I dare to say that...
My Steamed Fish turned out exactly what I want it to be!
Ok, Bragging Done!
hahahahaaa...

  2. Slurp! I love steamed fish. Must fresh, sweet and full of ginger and garlic. Yours must be robust of flavour.

  3. With ginger & lemongrass, sure it makes the fish a whole lot nicer. Yummy!!!...

  4. Fresh fish would be nice already with just the ginger. Both ginger and lemon grass have a lot of health benefits. Can use and consume more in one's cooking. I wouldn't use lemon powder or lemon essence like at some restaurants for their lemon chicken though. Better use the fresh fruit.

  7. I like this too! Thai style means sourish and I like sourish food and also fish so absolutely delicious! Did they sell the fish by weigh? RM18 for how much of fish?
