Dinner At KhunThai, Teluk Kumbar, Penang

FOR DINNER MY GIRL SUGGESTED THAI FOOD AND SHE JUST KNOWS WHICH ONE TO GO... It is called KhunThai Authentic Thai Restaurant in Teluk Kumbar.  I have heard of it only recently when one of my foodie friends went there with her family.  But we did not know the way and Waze sort of assisted us along the way.  But along the way, we were led to a small village that did not lead us to Khunthai, instead it was a dead end... So much for Waze!   hahahaha... Somehow we managed to find it after reversing our car to where we have turned .... At the junction, we noticed a small sign showing drivers not to turn into the village, instead just drive on straight using the main road instead of going through the village..... Perhaps GPS always led patrons to go through the village, thus the sign....

Anyway, it was worth going there for something new and authentic....
We were enthralled by the ambience.....
So beautiful to dine by the sea....
Looks very authentic....
And our orders were....
These five dishes....

Kerabu mango.... lots of cashew nuts... very appetizing!
Steamed fish Thai style....
I find the sauce a bit too sweet...
Fried Kangkung with red sauce...
Glass noodles with prawns....
The food was not bad actually....
We wanted to order more but we might not be able to finish them all....
The dinner for five dishes cost around RM108....
Smiles to the Thai Food....
Maybe one day we will come by again to taste other dishes...
Tom yam and green curry are the recommended ones, so I was told...

    1. Yes, the fish a bit sweet and also sour.. I prefer it to be sourish only... maybe not used to its sweetness...
