Stuff You'll Need to do if You Want to Visit New York City

New York. The Big Apple. NYC. The Empire State. These are just a few of the names and nicknames used to describe one of the world’s most powerful and breath-taking cities. Millions of people live in New York, and many more visit this great city everywhere. There is so much to see and do and experience. In fact, many people might argue that the world is run from New York

It might be somewhere you’ve always wanted to go but never had the chance to do so before now. Well, now is the time to take advantage of that urge and go for a visit to New York. There is so much there for you to experience, and you’re unlikely to be the same afterwards. So here is a collection of ideas and suggestions for things you need to do if you want to visit New York.

Get an Apartment
First up, think about where you’re going to stay. Sure, you could choose to stay in a New York hotel as there are many lovely and luxurious ones. However, you might want to get a more intimate experience by staying in an apartment. Get online and check out HouseTrip NYC and their selection of NYC apartments for rent. These will give you more of New York experience, not to mention the extra space you’re going to have.

Walk the Length of Manhattan
One of the things I would recommend you try to do when you’re there is to walk the length of Manhattan. Take a walk from Harlem all the way down to Soho and the East Village. Sure, it will take you a long time, but it’s really worthwhile to get the full New York experience. You can observe the locals, New York chic fashion, experience Little Italy and marvel at Central Park. This is something that you might only get the chance to do once in your life, so what are you waiting for?!

Go to Central Park
I just mentioned Central Park, but I feel I should talk about it in greater detail. This is one of the must-see hotspots in New York and has become a US cultural icon. The park itself is huge, and there is so much beauty for you to see and experience. Check out the horse and carriage ride that you can take as a couple; it’s very romantic! Central Park needs to be at the top of your list of places to see when you reach New York.

Statue of Liberty
When you think of America, you can’t get a bigger cultural icon than the Statue of Liberty. It is a symbol of our liberty and identity as Americans. And that’s why you should seize the opportunity to go see this amazing tourist attraction. Just remember to book in advance because it is very popular, and you don’t want to risk missing out.

New York City is one of the greatest cities in the world and has so much to offer visitors. So, if you are planning on going there, you need to make sure you get the full New York experience. And that means following the ideas on this post and using them to get the best out of your visit to The Big Apple.

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...
Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch here in …

Caring And Sharing At Limestone, Regal Lodge, Ipoh

IMPROMPTU GATHERING.... Nothing was planned beforehand, it was only at the last minute that we received call to have lunch at Limestone Cafe, inside Regal Lodge.  It was my first time there to have set lunch.  The menu prices were reasonable, around RM15.90 for the main dish, RM3 for a bowl of soup and RM2 for ice cream.  Other than that, coffee, tea and soft drinks are free.
We were there not so much for the food but for the ambiance... we practically had the whole cafe to ourselves during that lunch hour.  Only one or two tables were occupied and we spent more than two hours there since it was a Friday long hour lunch for my working colleagues.  After a few months absence from me, it was wonderful to catch up with my ex-colleagues again!
I was super hungry by lunch time and I felt like eating almost anything in the menu. We ended up ordering one main dish each and then sharing them with one another so that we could taste a bit of this and that.....
I felt like eating Aglio Oli…

Famous Wanton Mee At New Hoong Kee, Bandar Sri Damansara

BREAKFAST FEAST..  Best meal of the day is always my first meal because I know I am able to tuck in as much as my stomach can accept.  I eat a lot in the mornings and then slowly dwindle by the end of the day.  As the saying goes, eat like a king in the morning and like a pauper in the evenings.  This is what I normally do nowadays, not because I wanted to, but it is my own body system that tune me this way.  Though I deny I am old but the body says otherwise... LOL...

On this morning, we went to New Hoong Kee in Bandar Sri Damansara, my sibling said this is currently his favourite place.  And after trying, I know why.... the food we ordered, all turned out good and tasty, even the curry reminded me of my good old days!
Managed to catch the name otherwise I wouldn't be able to tell this story now...  My type of curry... I can go without the chicken... Just the other ingredients will do fine for me.. I like the way they cook this curry... Heard the BBQ pork is tasty too... melt in …
