CHIJ'77 Mini Gathering At Unique Restaurant

HAD A GREAT GATHERING LAST NIGHT WITH MY EX-CLASSMATES/SCHOOLMATES FROM THE 70sss.... Now that many of us are scattered all over Malaysia and overseas as well, one of the girls makes an effort to organize a dinner for whoever comes back to our town, Ipoh...  Last night was no different, our guest came back from New Zealand for a short holiday and she "booked" us in advance since last year November or December month! hahahahaa...

With the apps gadget, a gathering took place in Ipoh and a few of them made their way back from Kuala Lumpur to attend the Makan Gathering.  This time we held it in Unique Seafood Restaurant which has shifted to Giant hypermarket in Bercham.  Parking is easily accessible and most importantly, I had not been there before until yesterday.....
Formerly it was located in MH Hotel....
As for the food, we did not order any seafood... just a simple dinner for two tables of 18 persons...
CHIJ of the 70s....
As for our humble dinner... we had the below....
Fried noodles to celebrate a birthday...
Steamed Black Talapia....

Eggplants...
Yam with Kailan...
Curry Chicken wrapped with bread... which turned out to be a mess....
Luffa with beancurd....
And this....
Most impressive is the fish.....
And the never ending photos of US!
Ladies... Ladiesssss.....
The night was still young when dinner was over....
So guess where we adjourned to next?
Yes, you are right!
Cheong K!!

  5. Everyone is looking great in orange! Not everyone looks good in that colour. I used to have one orange shirt and that was the only orange apparel I ever owned!!

How unique is unique I wonder of this restaurant's seafood. ^^

But food is good and everyone in jovial mood and enjoying themselves.

  11. Wow! You all had so much delicious food in the Makan Gathering!
Yes the fish was so big and impressive with the tiny bits on top. What was the tiny bits?

All looked so happy and radiant after coming a long way from 70s.
You know what? I noticed the Feng Shui ladies wore the wealth colours in the shades of red, pink, yellow and orange. No one wore blue, green or black. Was it a planned dress code dinner? All of you must be wealthy, healthy and happy lah!

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

The Good, The Bad But Not Ugly

MISSING AND NOW BACK IN ACTION...  I checked back my last post and it was 8 March last month and today is 19 April, less than two months only.  So what has been happening in my life?  Lots and lots... good news, bad news, sad news... all concerning health and I guess this is our life cycle as we live day by day.   My health is also not that "fantastic" during the past few months, but mine is a small rock compared to giant boulder which my best buddy is undergoing... I guess some of you know what is happening to her from her blog posts.  I was totally devastated when this happened to her, my tears couldn't help falling and my heart goes out to her.  I am ashamed to say that instead of me giving the comfort that she needs, I am the one that have been receiving her strength in times like this.  She might be crushed physically but she is not broken in her spiritual mind and soul.  One word... "Unbreakable!"  She is a shining example..... "What can death do to m

Exploring The Sea Cruise Royal Caribbean

CRUISING ALONG.... Once we deposited our bags in our cabins, we had our buffet meal at the Hammerjack restaurant and exactly at 4pm, we heard a loud Horn signal...  ITS TIME TO SAIL ALONG THE PACIFIC OCEAN! And while the ship started to sail, we humans started to walk and explore.... to familarize ourselves inside the ship....  Elevators on each side of the ship....  Making my mark....  On another side....  We walked along to check out our food outlets... This Promenade Cafe  had became our regular joint .... We like to sit there enjoying our hot drinks and desserts... Free flow of food day and night.... Passing through the bars to the casino... The casino will open only when the ship is in international waters...  At one of the jackpot machines... I wonder if they are real?? But they are only $1 bundles... Then we went up to the highest floor.... The swimming deck.... Taken against the sun.... Nice sunset in the evening.... The Happy Trio!
