A Nameless Place In Taman Perkaka, Penang

GOING TO GET SOME "FIRING" FROM WHOEVER ASKING FOR THE NAME OF THIS SHOP...  Yes, I am the one who will get fired.... for I forgot to look at the name of the shop.... Too hungry perhaps.. Or too hasty to go off after dinner... Whatever it is, Hopefully someone can tell me the name....

Having said that, my post begins with this....

Having nothing much to do in Ipoh, I drove up north for a short vacation in Penang.... the weather was cloudy but fine, no rain and upon reaching, I went for lunch at Little Genting in Green Lane....
Hokkien mee in Penang aka Prawn noodles in Ipoh...
It was too spicy for me, don't judge the mini size chili on the spoon...
It burns!
One coconut was definitely not enough....
Fast forward, it was evening... time to go for dinner ....
We went to a shop in Taman Perkaka....
All I can say is that it is a corner shop just behind Subaidah Restaurant....
Never thought of looking at the name of the shop...
But the food was not bad....
And we had these four dishes.... scrumptious meal which cost around RM65
plus rice and drinks....
 Hot Leafy spinach soup....
Sweet and sour pork....
These look and tasted special...
They are beancurd balls cooked with some curry leaves and salted eggs....
And Fish cooked in Nyonya style
Here is a glimpse of the shop...
Just too bad I couldn't remember to take the name of the shop...
Hope someone can enlighten me...
It is just opposite the Wong Chao Restaurant in Taman Perkaka....

Our dinner did not end right there....
We took a drive to another place....
For some bittersweet experience!

  6. "The corner shop just behind Subaidah" is an appropriate Penangite restaurant name hahaha. Usually it is the actual name of the place that people won't know :P

But ar... I don't think I've been to this one before. Maybe that's why I don't know. "Zhu char" in that area (Sg Dua), usually I will go to Kim Hin, it is located beside a motorbike shack between Tesco Extra and that row of shops with Pizza Hut and McD. But we don't call it Kim Hin, we will say "Let's go to Paul's", because Paul is the guy who sell drinks there.

Also there's a pretty nice place on the same row as Sg Nibong Public Bank. Don't know the name also, we call it "fu kua chao dan" (bitter gourd fried egg) because they do that dish very well there.

And ah, the dim sum shop at Elit, they do dishes at night too, pretty decent too with air-cond.
