Kampar Club Dinner And Perak Stadium Food Court For Supper

AS I GET SMALLER AND YOUNGER EACH YEAR, the younger generation grows OLDER... soon, they are out from their homes and start working elsewhere... anywhere except in Ipoh.  My niece graduated last year and she is now working in Kuala Lumpur.  Still under probation, no doubt but after receiving her second pay, she invited me for dinner when she came back last weekend.  Being her auntie has some perks after all... yes, very thoughtful of the younger generation to think of giving dinner treats to the Ah Yee-s now that they have started working.... As I jokingly said, it is now time for Pay Back!  hahahaha...

Anyway, I am happy for the kids to have their own lives now, their take home pay to call their own, no more depending on the parents for pocket money.  Instead, now the other way round, I am the one who take out the hand for "pocket money"... otherwise this auntie cannot go Cuti Cuti Malaysia!  hahahaha...

As for the dinner, my niece suggested going to Kampar Club... and we ordered these...

Marmite chicken... a hit with the youngster... and oldies...
Beancurd with Mui Choy... *salted vegetables*
Claypot braised mutton.... with lots of ginger....
Salted Egg Crispy Lotus....
And the bill came to RM118 which I think is a bit steep for four dishes...
The mutton carried a lot of weight in the price, I guess...
After our dinner, the five of us were thinking of having some desserts...
We adjourned to Perak Stadium food court....
And we caught hold of these lovely desserts to end the evening...
Besides the sweet broth such as red beans, green beans, bubur cha-cha,
we ordered the above to go with the sweeties...
Then only we went home feeling "satisfied" for the night....

  2. I had dinner at a club too in Kuching - the Chinese restaurant but I guess these places serve no pork. Blogpost on that in the line-up coming up...but wouldn't be all that soon. So many scheduled posts waiting. :D

  3. So thoughtful and generous of your niece to give all of you a treat. Eating at a club I guess the price is expensive due to its status as a club. In the last photo, what is the food in the polystyrene box?

  4. You must be a great aunt! Looks like your niece took you to a very fancy place! No matter how far we may go, we must always remember where we came from. I think my favorite would be the salted lotus.

  5. Wow! I would be so full from dinner dont think I can take those dessert for supper. You are "keng"!

For me, it would be many years before my kids leave the nest but then again, my eldest is 10 this year. Soon she would be leaving for college. A blink of eye, before I know it. But for now, I would enjoy having them around. Haha.
