At Hook Sang Restaurant, Bukit Indah, Johor

IT IS ALL ABOUT EATING IN JB since AA is only having a week holiday and he tries to eat as much as he can before he goes back.  One of the nights we had dinner at Hook Sang restaurant, one of the branches located in Bukit Indah, opposite AEON.  It was our first time eating here and when we reached the restaurant, it was almost 8.30pm, beyond our normal dinner time.

By then, we seemed to be the most Hungry Threesome in the restaurant.  Every picture in the menu looks so tempting, all we did was to point and point... the staff continued jotting down the numbers till I said enough is enough... Hungry feeling might end up ordering more than we could finish....
Belacan chicken wings... also known as shrimp paste....
Cangkuk Manis... aka "money chye"
Minced meat with preserved vege... *tong choy*
Minced meat in omelette...
These duplicate dishes happen when one or two or three order at the same time....

And two types of noodles....
Both look pretty special and that is why my son ended up ordering them... and rice as well!
Alright, just one bowl of rice...
Well, now looking at them, we did Not really order too much, right?
Our Hungry But Happy Faces before the meal....
"Happier" when we saw the bill came to RM98...
Happiest when we went back for the Yellow Desserts!

  1. Belacan chicken again!!! Can't wait to cook that, give it a try, dunno how it will turn out. Cangkuk manis, they do not shred or tear into bits there? Like how the Malays here cook it - hard to chew. Your darling boy is leaving again? Aiyorrrrr!!!! Never mind, as long as the money keeps pouring in. RM no value anymore these days. Hehehehehe!!!!

  7. If you ask me, that is too much, 5 of us order the same number of dishes. But if you ask my ex-housemate, not too much, because him and his wife, just both of them also order the same... :P

  9. That is not a lot for three, but if for me, I would prefer rice to go with the dishes, love the tong choy minced meat, omelette and the chicken wings
