Gleeful Expressions On Homecooked Dinner And Durians

ALONG THE HAWKER STALLS AT TAMAN PERLING, something wonderful caught our eyes! Yes, durians!! In fact three stalls were along the same road and we were told to go to the "Uncle Old Man" for his durians.  Soon we were driving home happily with our small loot of six durians for a sum of RM75.  The price was Not too bad compared to the ones we ate previously along the Sutera road...

It is not all about outside food, there were a few evenings where yours truly utilized the kitchen hall to whoop up some simple dishes especially when the yellow desserts were in the house!
Opening the yellow loots and couldn't-resist look!
King of the fruits!

And one of their favorite dish for one of the evenings....
Minced meat with tomatoes, big onions.....
And lastly add in the fried potatoes...
And ended up like this....
Boiling old melon soup to go with the dinner...
Cooling for the body after the yellow desserts..
One of our dishes for a few evenings....

Goes well with a pot of ........
Porridge!!
Peanuts porridge, salted egg and roasted porkie!
Another night Chicken rice with Durians!
And their gleeful looks night after night...
hahahahaha.....

  6. A durian galore! Enjoy 😀

I never had cooked durian in a meal. The only cooked durian I had was a homemade durian bingka, it was soooo good but I only had it once.

    1. Wow.. durian bingka? Is it some sort of cake? By the way, do you own a blog? I cannot trace it over here at google plus..

    2. I think it should read as Bingka Durian. It's a local kuih made from glutinous flour, sugar, eggs and durian. Traditionally, it's baked in a brass dish lined with banana leaves, cooked over a charcoal dish.

      I don't have a blog yet.

Berries bread pudding today....  Forgot what this is called....  Garlic honey scones...  Coffee for my friends.... As for me, I had Chamomile tea....  We ordered one croissant to share.... Smoked duck and omelette fillings... Full to the brim... RM15....  Quiche again.... different fillings this time... RM15 And a Happy Birthday piece of cheese cake... RM14.. Though just a few varieties, we were very full.... For dinner, I just ha

Freshly Baked With Love From Breadlady

BUNS AND PIES... freshly baked with Love.... printed on a brown paper bag, delivered by her handsome son right to my doorstep!  LOL.... Saw it on Facebook, one of my friends put up the fresh curry buns she ordered.  Yours truly saw and salivated and the next thing, I have the details I needed.  During the weekdays, the Breadlady has different kinds of buns and on Saturdays, she makes shepherd pies.  Since I got the details on Friday, I quickly messaged her and ordered 5 packets!  No, I did not eat them all, I ordered for my friends too, they have the same common interest as I do.  LOL...  ' Each set of shepherd pie comes with 2 fresh buns costing RM15.   I like her packing....
