Our First Day In Aberdeen

MY EYES OPENED TO A NEW MORNING IN  ABERDEEN AT AROUND 7AM...

YES... Definitely jet lag is the cause, it is 1pm in Malaysia... And I was not the only one, when I turned to the side of the bed, my girl was already up with her handphone in her hands already!  Lol... For someone who loves to sleep, that was a rare sight.... Since we could not sleep any longer, we got up without wasting any more time in bed.  And funny thing is, we were both famished and the first thing she requested was a bowl of nice piping hot noodles!  Yummmmsss... I certainly would love that too and within some half hour or do, our breakfast was ready!

Wasting no time, we prepared ourselves for an outing around the vicinity.... The groceries were all within walking distance and you know what?  It feels so good to walk on the ground for the first time even though this is my second time here.  My previous trip during last October, I was not in a walking mode but on the two big wheelchair and needed to be pushed all the time.  Thank God for my two patient companions who made the trip possible and enjoyable for me despite my handicap.  Now thinking back, it was indeed a hassle.... Hmmmm....

Back to our first morning, we went to get some groceries... And while walking to the cashier, I realized I did not have any cash with me.... No sterling ...no pounds... Oh dear, how forgetful can I get!  We shedded off more calories by walking home again to retrieve some money... Lol...

Oh yeah, we made appointment to meet up my ever faithful and helpful Mary Moh at Asda.... Great to see her again!!  And to cut my post short, we had lunch in her her B and B guest house.... Her homecooked bowl of noodles received warm applause from both of us... Mary is a fast and efficient cook, within few minutes, we were served with her famous noodles in chicken and wine soup!   Not only that, we came back for dinner in the evening to have dinner and fellowship with the some wonderful Asians from Malaysia and China.

Food and fellowship indeed blends well together!

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
