Sarawak Kolo Noodles, Bukit Indah And Desserts, Taman Perling, Johor

BOTH OF US ALWAYS START OFF WITH THE FIRST MEAL OF THE DAY AROUND NOON... by then our stomach would be shouting for Food, Food.... And the food seem to taste tastier when one is super hungry.  Anyone agree with me? :)

On one morning we went for Face-2-Face, AA saw me putting up the Sarawak kolo mee in the Facebook and he was drooling over them then.  Now he is back, He Must Take!  And off we went to the branch in Bukit Indah, I call it the Green Shop cos the chairs and the walls are green in colour... soothing to the eyes.  This time I did not want to sit under the fan, they were still in full blast and I do not want to eat cold noodles....
This time I ordered the soupy kolo noodles...
Just what I like!  The kolo was not soggy, just nice for consumption...

AA ordered what he saw in Facebook... the dry version...

For sidekicks!  Chive dumplings....
Our first meal of the day.....
Then we adjourned to Taman Perling... for a cooling drink!
My No-Drink-Yet expression... just grab a seat first...
Ordering the cooling delights...
Our customized drink...
we picked and choose what we want...
We ordered jelly, cincau and lots of longan....
So cooling on a hot sunny day in JB!

  2. The next round when you come JB, invite STP over, see what's the different between the Sibu Kampua Mee and the Sarawak Kolo Mee, keke...

  3. Soupy kolo mee? Unheard of - no soup version. The dry one does not look quite like it either. So kaya, grab a cheap ticket and hop over to Kuching for say, a weekend. JB is so near! Or come to Sibu - there are direct flights.

  7. There is soupy noodle and dry noodle over here. We called the dry version, kolo mee. Like STP said, it does not look like the Sarawak kolo mee but I guess it evolves as it crossed the bug ocean to fit the local taste.

Ooooh. Nice dessert from the truck. Anytime for me.

  8. Yum...the noodles look so delicious. I think I would choose the dry version too. What are the toppings? Mushroom and minced meat?

  9. They all look so goooooood. It has been so long since I last had a Sarawak kolo mee. I didn't know there is a Sibu version, too?

I sure am missing out a lot. Where do I start? I have lost the lingo too. I need a local 'foodie guide'.
