From Aberdeen To London And Oxford

SATURDAY MORNING WE LEFT FOR LONDON... It was only an hour plus flight from Aberdeen to London.  We reached London around 1pm and from there, we hired an Avis car and drove straight to Oxford which was an hour plus away from London.  This is our first time going to Oxford and we didn't know what to expect.  For all we know, Oxford is the place where academic is highly respected.  When you say you graduated from Oxford university, you will expect some expressions like...  "wahhhh, so clever ah".... Hahahaha... Ok, I am speaking for myself only....

Back to my post, we managed to find our guest house without any hassle using the GPS... I think I would not be able to if I were the driver!  The guest house is not so new but nevertheless, it was clean and the staff were pleasant.  Breakast was included, simple food like bread, cereals, buns, yogurt and hot drinks were provided.  All we need actually was a nice convenient spot where we do not have to drive into the city, all were within walking distance...
Arrival at Heaththrow Airport....
Our Guest House called Cherwell...
Walking distance to the city and restaurants...
Our humble room...
One double and one single with attached bathroom....
Cost around £30 per person and we stayed for two nights....
After a good rest, we had our dinner here... Just 10 minutes walk away.....
Mixed grill....
With pineapple sauce.... Very nice... Around £15
And slow oven baked chicken with some special sauce... Cannot remember what....
Around £11...
After our light dinner, we walked across to complete the meal.....
Many to choose from......
And we got a double scoops to share... £4
Yes, our meal ended in desserts, no less..... Time to call it a night...
Once the light went out, everything was silent to us....
I guess We were fully exhausted after a long day....

  1. Two of my favourite places in England. Make sure you catch a musical at London West End, an experience of a lifetime! Wonder what the ones that are currently showing now are.
