Indian Cuisine Majliss For Dinner In Oxford

FOR OUR SECOND NIGHT IN OXFORD, we walked along James Street to Cowley Road where we came across an Indian cuisine restaurant called Majliss.  We felt like eating something Asian... Alright, not "we" but me actually who was yearning for some Naan and whatever spicy and yummy....

Aaron told me that I must try the Peshwari Naan and I am so glad that I did... The filling inside was sweet, filled with sweetened coconut flakes and it blends very well with two plates of curry chicken in different flavors.  We ordered two different types of Naan to go along with them.  Dinner came to around £20 and it was a good dinner in fact!  My yearnings were compromised further with two scoops of ice cream from a dessert shop a few doors away...

Our Indian cuisine dinner....
Pumpkin curry chicken .... Sweet and savoury....
This is a bit more spicy but of course, not as spicy as in Malaysia....
The two giant pieces of naan was more than enoigh for us....
My tired and yet satisfying expressions.....
Checked my phone and we have walked around 15000 steps on that one day in Oxford!!

  2. You and your girl are looking so pretty today! I bet this trip has lost you so much weight! But you are so slim anyway. We have naan here! Maybe three different flavors. I love it.

  3. I used to go to the Indian tandoori when I was in the UK - for their £2 set lunch - got rice, one meat and one veg and a piece of fruit, more affordable than everything else even though the curry tasted like it came out of a can. But that was so long ago, dunno what you can get for £2 these days.
