Shopping At Gurney And Paragon Mall, Penang

AFTER A GOOD REST FOR THE "DRIVER", WE VENTURED OUT FROM THE HOTEL... to shed off some calories for dinner.... From the hotel, we went to Gurney Plaza and Paragon.  A couple of hours were spent walking at the malls and soon it was dusk when our tummies were "growling" for food.  We did not want to eat in the mall, that is not so Penang-ish... so we seek out food along Kimberley Street.  Unfortunately it was raining dogs and cats when we reached the place, eating out on the streets was impossible.  Eventually we ended taking our dinner at a food court around the area.  Choices of food were not up to our expectation then.... no choice... the rain dampened our appetite then...
Taken from Royal Hotel lobby before we left...

It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t
