Birthday Celebration At Little Elephant, Ipoh

BACK HOME IN IPOH, I hollered to my friends... "I am Back!  What's next?"  Yes, there is something certainly ON last night.  Though her birthday is still a few days away but we are very considerate.  LOL... Birthdays are always spent with close ones and family... And we as friends normally have a Pre-celebration before the real day.  It was a very last-minute planning, due to each other's busyness, the day we planned was the day we went.... and That was yesterday.

This time our venue was at Little Elephant, a Thai and western cuisine at Jalan Raja Di-Hilir, Ipoh.  I have not been there, in fact it was the first time for the few of us who went last night.  Ambiance was not bad though we have to keep our voices down a bit so as not to disturb the others who were dining there.  I did not take much photos of the place because of the dimness, however we were told that this place also belongs to the same boss who owns STG.
Upon entering...
Asian Fusion Pork Free...
More on Thai dishes style...
Ladies are ladies... must take a picture before, duringand after food...
LOL...
Our orders.... Pomelo Salad, Seafood Tomyam,
Pineapple rice, Indonesian rice set,
Mixed Grill and Pad Thai...
Desserts after the meal....
Total meal cost RM242 for the 6 of us...
And of course, a cute cake for the Birthday Girl....
Thanks to the Little Elephant friendly staff, we have these to remember this Lovely Night!

  11. Truly adorable photos. Food is my weakness and I truly loved all of these foods shown in the photos. It seems like a grand celebrity party. Well, a food tasting show is also going to be hosted at the local LA venue. I have got the ticket in advance. Can’t wait for this awesome event.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
