Mala Hotpot At Bukit Indah, Johor

WHEN ANDY SUGGESTED GOING TO MALA SHOP FOR OUR DINNER, I thought he was indicating Indian spicy food. But I was mistaken, what he meant was Mala-hot pot, a China Sze Chuan dish.  No, it is not about steamboat, it is actually a dish, a traditional fried dish in fact.  I did not know what to expect, once seated, my girl went to a counter where all the raw ingredients were displayed.  With one tub in her hand, she picked the ingredients from there, whatever she likes, she put inside.  After that, she handed the two tubs to the staff at the counter, informing that the one tub is non-spicy and the other "little bit" of spicy.  LOL...

Yes, we were "pre-warned" that we should not take the "extra mala" aka "malak" otherwise our lips would be burning and our taste buds numb!  LOL...
I let my girl did all the picking cos I did not know what they would do with them....
She came here before so she knows what to expect.... she knows what is nice and what's not..
Surprisingly the place was crowded... so that means the food here is Good!
In no time our Mala Dish is ready!
Wahhhh... so it is like that la....
See how my girl's choices... Mostly Greens geh!
Oh, a bit of meat here, I noticed....
Anyway, we love Greens more than Meat!
This smaller dish is a bit spicy.... just right for me.. didn't burn my lips... LOL...
Oh yes, this soup must be not Missed Out....
Sourish with dices of beancurd and other stuff... I Like!
That was for our dinner....
Something different, kan?
I don't mind going again the next time...
Now I know what to pick and choose...
Yummy!!
Oh, the bill came to around RM80 plus for the five of us...

Location: 28, Jln. Indah 15/3
Taman Bukit Indah.

  8. I ate their real spicy hotpot in several restaurants in Sichuan, China. My eyes cried tears as the air around the restaurant stank my eyes.
