Seafood Dinner At Asli Mutiara Biru Restaurant, Skudai, Johor

HEARD ABOUT THE ORANG ASLI RESTAURANTS MANY TIMES but I had not been there until my son finally took me there one fine Sunday evening.  I thought it would be another long drive from our place but to my surprise, it was only a 20 minutes drive.  Situated in Perling Town near to the edge of the jetty overlooking Singapore at one side, so close and yet so far.  LOL....

I did not know what to expect and when we reached there, it reminded me of Bukit Tambun restaurants, Penang.  At first we parked our car at Alam Seafood restaurant but changed our mind after walking towards it.  Suddenly my friend remembered that it was not the restaurant she went to the previous time.  Off we drove again to another restaurant just a few minutes away....
At first we were here....
Vast parking area for us hungry fellas...
Plank walkway leading to the Alam restaurant...
Nice seaview from the plankway....
From here, we saw the restaurant across... yellow in colour..
That was where we had our dinner...
Ambience near the Mutiara Biru where we parked our car...
It is a village style with kids helping out in the "parking"...
These restaurants are opened by the "Orang Asli" from the way they speak...
Along the plankway to the restaurant....
This is one we went to .... eventually....
Best to go when the sun is setting....
Crowded during weekends... from 6pm onwards...
The seafood are fresh considering most of them are fishermen here...
Is that Singapore across the sea? :)
Maybe it is.... heard it is very near to this jetty...
And the food we ordered for the four of us...
Salted crabs, sweet and sour crabs, crayfish in nestum flakes, noodles,
and fried dumplings...
The bill came to around RM220 with 4 glasses of fruit juice....
Our almost finished dinner....
Must come again for other choices of food next time!
