Getting Ready For Winter Vacation

How to Plan It Right

Winter is an excellent time to go on vacation with friends or family, but figuring out what to do isn’t always easy. If you don’t ski and you don’t particularly enjoy long periods of time in the snow, finding the proper destination can be a bit mindboggling.

There are options out there for people who don’t consider themselves snowbirds though. Use this guide to help you plan the perfect winter vacation for you and your family this year.

Choose Your Destination Wisely

Where you’re going to go for a winter vacation really depends on what you want to do. The biggest and most popular destinations are those where you can ski and enjoy everything that the winter has to offer.

However, not everybody is interested in skiing. If you fall into that camp, you need to think about what you’re going to do with the rest of your free time.

When booking a destination, make sure there’s something for you to do. Whether that’s shopping, fine dining or visiting historical landmarks, you need to make sure there’s an activity for you.

Looking to Relax?

Another option you have when trying to get away for winter vacation is to simply find a place where you don’t have to do anything at all. This may not be the best situation if you have kids, but sometimes adults just need to unwind.

Sometimes all you need is a few days away from it all to come back home with a clear head.

Book Early

No matter where you want to go for your winter vacation, you probably already know that popular destinations fill up quickly. If you don’t book early, you’ll find that it’s nearly impossible to get a hotel room or cabin when you want one.

If you can, consider going to popular destinations through the week when they aren’t quite as full. You’ll save money on per night lodging in most cases, but you’ll get all the same amenities and features.

Getting Ready

After all reservations been booked and reserved, the next step is to look into is the winter attire.  Keeping yourself warm and comfortable for the vacation is very important especially during the cold weather.  Though the weather may be cold, nevertheless, catching walks with your love ones is very memorable and it is time to get some nice winter clothing at Lyst.  A wide selection of winter clothing for both him and her, ranging from coats, jackets, jeans, knitwear, nightwear, tops and many more to choose from in this website.  It gives you ideas on what to bring and wear not only during the winter, but followed by spring, summer and fall.

Well, what are you waiting for?  Get yourself ready for your vacation now.... Enjoy!!

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

MISSING IN BLOGGING AGAIN.... this has become a norm now ever since I arrived to this continental... LOL... Now I understand the word of Full Commitment when it comes to taking care of baby... seriously, I have to be fully commited and occupied by this little cheeky fella who is now going to be his 10th month soon.  Wow... time flies, when I first came, he was just slightly over four months... that being said, it is soon time fo rme to pack my bags and leave.  LOL... My 6 months being a babysitter is soon over... and did I say I can hardly wait?  NO, NO... I love my job here and I am going to miss my baby tremendously!  I only don't miss his cries!  LOL...  OK, by the time I write this post, Chinese New Year is over, it is now the 4th day of CNY.  Two days before the Lunar New Year, my daughter-in-law and I cooperated fully and baked a few types of cookies.  Looking back at these pictures, I dare say that we did a good job... not on the cookies but at least we had a great time bond

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe
