A Table For Five At Auntie Lee Restaurant, Malacca

BEFORE LEAVING FOR JOHOR, we had our scrumptious lunch at Auntie Lee Nyonya Cuisine!  This is my second time having a meal there, the first time was in July, 2016, recommended and taken by a local lovely couple here in this post.  We quickly made a call to reserve a table for the five of us, just in case.  It was almost 1pm when we reached Auntie Lee and true enough, most of the tables were already occupied.

Everything looks so good on the menu, very difficult tasks for us to make our orders... Eventually we ended up agreeing to whatever the "captain" recommended.... LOL...

Alright, for this meal, I have the price receipt in front of me... so here are the food and their cost...
First of all, we were served with the delightful Cendol... RM5.50
Yes, we took desserts first before the meal... just couldn't resist...
Curry prawns to our liking.. not too spicy...
They are actually called Udang Lemak Nenas.... RM41.40
Fish Cili Garam RM60
Bendih Ulam RM13
Looks spicy but they are actually not... suits me real fine!
Cincalok Omelette RM12
Their famous Pai Tee is a Must... RM30 for one set....
It is served like this in a trat.... over a small candle to be kept warm...
DIY our own Pai Tee....

That was our Scrumptious Lunch!
All in RM177.40
And as usual, the camera gets to "eat" first before we do!
Bye Bye Malacca... and Hi to Johor next...

  1. Wow, the huge omelet! I have come to think that Cendol is like a flavored ice...which we call snowballs here.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
