Our Best Chicken Rice Shop Pak Kong, Ipoh

CHICKEN RICE SHOP!

Shopping for food, biscuits, snacks from Ipoh such as the Salted chicken, Tambun biscuits, chicken biscuits, Heong Piang, and not forgetting the famous Kacang Puteh from Buntong, all these driving here and there made one very hungry...

From the shop which sells Salted Chicken, someone saw the Chicken Rice shop which was diagonally opposite.  Pak Kong is the name of the famous chicken rice now... there was a queue, thank goodness, the queue was for those who want to take-away.  For customers like us, we just have to find the limited seats inside the one lot shop house.

As usual, the still-pretty boss lady is around to take orders and we just have to wait around ten minutes or so before the yummy and succulent chicken and other dishes were laid on our table.
I think they gave us the whole chicken???
Their famous Acar...

A combination of roasted pork and BBQ meat..
They dearly missed this dish...
Now looking back at this picture... this indeed is not a light lunch, I would say..
Only thing small size is the chicken rice which has a very fragrant smell of chicken...
From their expressions, one might think they missed these tremendously!!
LOL...

It is nice to eat the acar when we have so much meat dishes.

  2. I like the acar and sour mustard vege dish best! Both of them must fill up their stomachs with all Ipoh goodies before flying off.

  6. Happy belated birthday to your daughter! What a special dinner to celebrate both occasions. For big eaters the one unique big platter is surely not enough. The mee hoon soup is an add on right? Why is the comment disabled in that post?
