Ipoh Padang Curry House, Ipoh

There is an Indian shop near my house selling just what I wanted and I have been there so many times that I know how it taste like even before I put into my mouth.  I wanted something different, I mean different taste and when my ex-colleague invited me for breakfast yesterday, I suggested "Indian food?  Masala Tosai? Somewhere not near my house please... "   LOL...

Yes, she took me to a different place in town, it is called Ipoh Padang Curry House restaurant along Jalan Raja Ekram aka Cowan Street during my younger days.  I have not been there before and I am really yearning for Masala Tosai!
When it came, I began to indulge in it...
After cutting it into half, I realized "oh oh... picture picture... "
Yes, I used fork and spoon instead of my hands...
I am not good eating with my hands...
All the remnants will be destroyed if I do that...
My friend was a bit slower than me... hers was still untouched... original...
Should have taken the inside fillings too...
Their potatoes are different... mashed up and cooked together with tomatoes...
I like the Taste!!
As if the Masala Tosai is not enough, we ordered one piece of Apom each...
I took it with the curry instead of the santan they provided...
Not sure how much it cost...
My friend picked the tab...
I would like to go there once again... one day...
Tomorrow perhaps....

  1. Does the masala tosai taste very different from the place near your house? I tend to think that the masala tosai served at different places all taste the same because they all are masala tosai. lolx!

    1. Yes, definitely different from my house... that is why i like it..

  2. My girl loves these! She's not keen on going back for more anymore though as the very nice and generous guy (originally from Taiping, Perak Mali one) kept letting us enjoy everything and would only collect a token sum from me. That day, the three of us had his nasi campur and he took RM10 from me only, inclusive of drinks. My girl said so shy to go and eat there.

    1. I like your girl's character... good upbringing!

  3. Aiyo...after see this I want masala tosai.... LOL!

  4. Finally. Your craving has been satisfied. Lol.

More Indian food again I bet.

Next time I go to Curry House, I must order the masala tosai to try.

  5. Looks like a giant tortilla stuffed with vegetables, and each sauce would make each bite taste different!!! YUM.

  6. The sauces look good to me, i can eat a lot of the tosai

  7. I am a bit funny. I always eat Indian food with my hands but not Malay food.
I love all the tosai, chapati and roti chanai that fattens me up fast!

Berries bread pudding today....  Forgot what this is called....  Garlic honey scones...  Coffee for my friends.... As for me, I had Chamomile tea....  We ordered one croissant to share.... Smoked duck and omelette fillings... Full to the brim... RM15....  Quiche again.... different fillings this time... RM15 And a Happy Birthday piece of cheese cake... RM14.. Though just a few varieties, we were very full.... For dinner, I just ha

Two Dishes One Soup Dinner

AUNTIE'S SIMPLE COOKING... for dinner on one evening.... Defrosted a piece of cod, my last piece in the freezer besides another few more pieces of other types of fish.  I think I consume the most fish this year, never bought so many types of fish before.  Maybe it is made easier for me this year cos of the online shopping at Gracious, cleaned, vacuumed and free delivery above RM50.   My last piece of cod.... A plate of greens called Yau Mak...  Not so sure what it is called in English And chicken herbal soup....  My complete meal for one evening....  As usual, I do not take much rice... Or perhaps I did not take rice at all for this meal....  LOL...

Freshly Baked With Love From Breadlady

BUNS AND PIES... freshly baked with Love.... printed on a brown paper bag, delivered by her handsome son right to my doorstep!  LOL.... Saw it on Facebook, one of my friends put up the fresh curry buns she ordered.  Yours truly saw and salivated and the next thing, I have the details I needed.  During the weekdays, the Breadlady has different kinds of buns and on Saturdays, she makes shepherd pies.  Since I got the details on Friday, I quickly messaged her and ordered 5 packets!  No, I did not eat them all, I ordered for my friends too, they have the same common interest as I do.  LOL...  ' Each set of shepherd pie comes with 2 fresh buns costing RM15.   I like her packing.... Brown paper bag with this slogan... Freshly baked with love...  The pies were still warm when they were delivered to right to  my doorstep with no extra charge... So nice! This was my lunch on Saturday.... I like the buns too...fresh and soft... One is filled with cranberries and apple.. And the other one is
