Seafood At Kuromon Ichiba Market, Osaka

ON OUR SECOND FREE N EASY DAY...

We went to Kuromon Ichiba Market, it is really an eye opener for me, I seem to be fascinated with almost everything I saw there.  Food.... Seafood... and their fantastic prices.  Imagine eating two slices of melon for 1,000 yen...*RM37*!!  Two slices only!  But then... one bite on the fruit, I am so WOW by it!  So super juicy that we were not really biting on them!  Alright, very expensive but it is worth trying them out... unfortunately I did not take a picture of them.... I thought it would be like melon.. a normal melon... LOL..

One must go to this market, not to be missed, just eat and don't start to convert... LOL...
I guess this is a tourist spot... a very good one, I say...
Here we are... at the entrance...
This type of Welcoming Robots are a norm there...
Lots of choices... we really had a hard time choosing what to eat....
I cannot resist this Unagi!
And we bought two pieces to try...
Part of our food for breakfast...
Too bad I did not take pictures of the other food we ordered..
I was too busy.... really busy!
Why did I keep taking this???..
Saw this too....
Fresh and succulent... 3,000 yen if not mistaken!
Grilled flesh....
So what do we have here?
This!!
Just have to be patient and queue up for our turn....
Take our pick!
And he will do the cooking....
With the shell as the "pan"
And after a few minutes....
EAT!
Yes, we tried this too....
Sea Urchin!
First time I see and eat this.... RAW....
It is served like this... RM37 for one...
OK, anyone dare to try?
Tasted something like cockles to me....
Then of course, we tried the Kobe Beef too...
2,000 yen for a small packet...
They grilled for us there and then...
Oh dear, I could not find my photos...
Just too bad....
I guess I have to make another trip to this place again..
LOL...
Empty handed but not not empty stomached..
LOL..

  1. So nice to choose the food and have them grilled there and then for you to eat!

  3. I went inside this market on every trip and ate almost everything that was cheap only. Their food is so fresh and really authentic Japanese style. I had tried their melons but they are over priced!! I better eat their melon ice creams will do.

  5. The unagi looks fantastic. That would be my choice. I have not tried sea urchin. Very expensive!

  6. RM37 for two slices of melon! And there I was feeling miserable and guilty as in one moment of folly, I had a durian mille crepe for RM15.00. Must not spend so foolishly anymore, poor ol' pensioner that I am.

  7. Are those scallops on top of the "pan"? I like scallops but not the unagi.

I have not tried sea urchin before.

  8. Cool! We were there too but didn't eat any street food, we ate mostly in restaurants. I'm not a fan of unagi & uni. I think we ate a lot of Wagyu during the trip. Hahaha! xoxo
