Why Electric Cars Are Better Than Gas

In recent years the automotive industry has face some big changes, and none of them have been quite as surprising as the invention of the electric car into our world. For years and years, we have been emitting far too much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and this has has a profound effect on our environment.

In order to protect our planet, many laws were put into place on what we can and can’t do when it comes to the planet. One of the laws which was passed which you can see with a lawyer like this laventlaw.com was to do with our roads. Electric cars have been made as a safer, more eco friendly mode of transport for everyone, and here are the reasons why you should make the switch today.

They cost less to run

Even though the initial price tag of an electric car might be a little higher than a regular gas car, the running costs are much lower than gas. The beauty of electric cars is the obvious: they run on electricity. Electricity is much more readily available as an energy source than gas which is why it is a hugely important resource to have. It is much cheaper for us to charge our car overnight than it is to fill up the tank with gas. The insurance is also often cheaper due to the lower impact on the environment.

It’s healthier

Electric cars aren’t just better for the environment in general, but the are much better for our own personal health. When we drive a gas car we end up emitting lots of harmful chemicals into the atmosphere and this is bad for our bodies. This is why you will see densely populated areas with smog surrounding the air. By using electric we have cleaner air to breathe and this is much better for our lungs. It can even reduce the instance of asthma in the wider population.

Skip the gas station

There’s nothing worse than being halfway to work and realising you need to stop off to get some gas. Gas stations are usually full of people and it takes a lot of time out of your morning to go and fill up. The beauty of electric cars is that you don’t need to visit a gas station at all, you can fill up at home. All you need to do is install a charging point in your garage and this will save you time, energy and stress. You can even just set your car to charge overnight and it will be ready to go when you wake up.

They are the future

As we know, pretty much everything is going electric and eco friendly in the world. So why wait behind with your gas guzzling machines when you can instead move with the times and go electric? You’ll be making a positive impact on the environment as well as funding the companies who make electric cars, which will enable them to spread their supply further around the world until they take over gas completely.

They are just as safe

Every time something new is invented and brought into the public eye, there is skepticism from people who don’t believe that this new type of vehicle is safe enough to replace a gas equivalent. However EVs are extensively tested and they have passed all of the same safety tests as the gas cars. This is proof that you are no less safe when on the road in an electric car, and should be anyone’s reason to invest in this machine rather than gas.

Low maintenance

One of the great accomplishments the makers of the electric car made was the fact that these cars have fewer moving parts. Without the need for an engine and combustion unit, this car has much less maintenance needed than a gas one. This of course means that you have to take many less trips to your local garage, and you will not have to fork out the same sort of money to get any issues fixed because the issues aren’t as complex.

They are great performance power

Electric cars are built with a very high torque power, and this means n turn that their pickup is incredibly quick, allowing them to reach full speed much quicker than the average gas car. Electric cars also provide a much smoother ride than you might think and many people actually find them more comfortable than a gas car.

You can be paid to drive one

Due to the fact that electric cars are great for the environment, the government will get behind you if you make the decision to switch over to one of these machines instead of a regular car. You will be given a tax credit when you purchase a car which will be up to a value of $7500 and you will also get a tax credit for the installation of your home charging unit too. It is in the government's interest to fund these cars because they are good for the planet, so if you fancy being paid for your car, you know what to do!

Your energy company will help you pay for charging

The beauty of owning an electric car is the fact that you don’t age to go to a fuel station to fill up: however charging it at home can become rather expensive after a while. Luckily, if you do have an electric car which needs to be charged at home you can get help with the bills from your energy company. If that isn’t an incentive to get one of these cars we just don’t know what is!

Better parking!

You will notice that in large shopping centres and public places there are special parking spots with charging stations for your electric car. It means that if you have an electric car you can get better parking than everyone else. No more walking for 10 miles to buy a loaf of bread anymore!

Comments

  1. Electric vehicles are becoming increasing popular across Canada. Before there can be a widespread transition to electric car usage, a sufficient network of EV charging stations must be created in order to reduce range anxiety for potential owners.
