Our Daily Job Each Morning

SUMMER PLANTING...

I like coming in summer, cooling or cold in the morning, sunny and hot in the afternoon and cooling or cold again in the evening especially bedtime.  This is also the best time to plant flowers and vegetables.  They only can harvest nicely during this hot season.  Few days prior to our arrival, the little pots of plants were awaiting for us, the land being plough and loosened..
John Deere tractor in action... loosening the soil....

Ready for planting....
Around thirty pots of greens to be planted...
Let's get them dug in!
No, not me... the real farmer did all the digging and the shaping...
Few days later... all done up.....
The little ones are ready to go in...
Our work begins each morning with watering all these little babies...
Water cannot be too strong...
Just slight shower will do....
Don't want to "murder" the little leaves....
The weather is so hot that we need to fill the holes up to the brim...
Little Green Peppers can be seen after some days....
Lots of harvesting to be done in a month or so....
That is our daily task each morning... and on some evenings....
And the best thing is we are getting "paid" for these light jobs!
Free food, free lodging!
LOL...

  1. Thinking back of my summer in Europe last year, I did enjoy the weather there. Cooling (sometime chilling) in the early morning and getting warm as the days went.

Now you learn how to grow plants and get paid. Not bad. Can use this skill when you are back in Malaysia.

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
