Food Trail Along Lebuh Melayu, Penang

TRIP UP NORTH...

To the Pearl of the Orient for an intensive food trail... The trail is happening again when there is a group of friends who crave for Penang food.  We decided to go only for one night to give it a trial, if all is good, we will plan to go again for two to three nights next time!  LOL... Before we do, we must go for some real exercise before and after the foodie trip otherwise it won't do to grow sideways every now and then.  LOL..

Fast forward... Our first stop for our first meal is at 113, Lebuh Melayu.. offering Duck Meat Koay Teow Soup as the main menu in the list.  It is only one shop lot, just be prepared to wait if the timing is not right... as for us, we got two tables for the six of us right in front of the shop, the five foot way.  Service is fast, no need to wait for half hour or more as in some other shops... and in no time, the food was served.
Exotic mixture of pork, duck meat... etc etc...
Their signature bowl of Koay Teow Thng....
That heals our hungry tummies.... temporarily...
Our next stop was unplanned...
While walking back to our car, we passed by a shop...
Selling Desserts!
The wood carvings from the door attracted us... to go in...
One for the album before we went in....
From the entrance...
And taken from inside...
Reminds me of yesteryears...
With murals and their deco...
Yes, this is a multi purpose rattan chair...
I had one too during my younger days...
To "cage" babies and toddlers during feeding time...
As for our second round.. these were what we ordered....
First and second round... done!
Third one on the way...............
