A Visit To Two Frenchies Bistro In Penang

FRENCHIES AS IT IS IN FRENCH?

Two Frenchies, it is called.. I googled for the meaning of Frenchie, a French person or a French Bulldog.  Googled deeper, this bistro is opened by two French expatriates in Penang and it has become a popular place to chill and relax in the evenings...

My friend made the reservation for four of us one evening at 7pm.  Being my first time there, I really did not know what to eat and I ended up ordering something which I find it amusing now when I look at the photos.
Taken at dusk... Two Frenchies...
Starters... what shall I order...
Seafood chowder... or something like that....
Comes with these condiments....
Blanquette de Saumon...
Creamy salmon, market fish and vegetable stew served with rice pilaf... RM32.90
Croque Monsieur RM16.90
It is like French toast with turkey ham.. my version of description.. LOL..
Do not be deceived by this picture of the Confit de Canard...RM32.90
It might not look appetizing but this is the best order among the four of us..
The duck leg is cooked in its own fat and the base is made of mashed potatoes...
I tried some and my decision is...
I would love to order this the next time....
And now presenting what I ordered for myself... LOL...
Two Frenchies Signature Burger!  RM29.90
150g beef with melted cheese...
Crispy pork bacon among grilled onions and others....
Oh my goodness!  Did I really devour this burger??
I think I did minus the french fries, that is for sure!
Too much.... just too much...
LOL...

  2. All looks tasty. Yum yum! I want to eat the duck dish but the creaminess of the potatoes may be too cloying.
