Sunny Skies And Rain At Seaton Park

IT WAS A SUNDAY....

Church service starts at 2pm for the Chinese section.  We have two hours to spend before going for the service.  Aaron wanted to take me to the botanic park inside the Aberdeen university and the weather then was super sunny.  Let's go!  I could shed some calories along the way, sunny it looks but it was still very chilling.  I was shivering to my bones half way through the park and this young lady offered her thick jacket to this elderly yours truly.  So grateful for that!  *Must not underestimate the weather even though the sun was out*

The park was nice, quiet and green.... but it was all white during January.  Some of them students who did not go back for Chinese New Year came to this park to have a game of snowballing... It must be fun for them, how nice to be young and youthful again... can just slip and fall without spraining any nerves and bones!  LOL...

Then.... suddenly the sun disappeared and hid behind the clouds.  The sky grew cloudy, in just matter of minutes, soon, we felt droplets on our head.  OH OH..... We walked swiftly back... and soon our walk turned to run... Let's run for our lives!   LOL... Gosh, what a weather in disguise!

Sunny skies can suddenly turn to rain in just a matter of minutes!

  3. Even though you got caught in bad weather, you still got good pictures. The church is pretty. This reminds me of a popular song about wanting to be young again. One line says you can fall and not get hurt. Not for us anymore!

  4. Typical UK weather, very unpredictable. A friend in the south, Plymouth, says jokingly that it's the monsoon season there, lots of rain.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
