Fresh And Sumptuous Crabs Delivery In Singapore

SEAFOOD GALORE!  That is one of my favourite dishes of all times, I like prawns, fish, clams and most of all, I love Crabs!

Just two days ago, we went to Kuala Sepetang for seafood, it was a disappointment!  One of the reasons is that the crowd is back "looking for food" after being lockdown for a couple of months.  Many of us are going out for food after being "chef" in the house for so long during the Covid-19 virus.  So it was not surprising to see the seafood restaurant crowded with patrons like me, going for the seafood at the river bay.  The crabs we ordered turned out so mini-sized that there is practically no flesh at all in them.  Another reason for our disappointment is that we ordered three crabs but when the dish was served, it has only two crabs!  We voiced our complaints to the server so that we would not be charged for the price of 3 crabs.

Our miserable plate of crabs in Kuala Sepetang...
Small mini-sized crabs and a big disappointment to us...

Having experienced that, it is wise not to go during weekends or public holidays.  I still yearn for crabs especially those freshly steamed ones and it is best to avoid going to restaurants at this time.  Now with the latest technology advancement, we can have the privilege to go online for the best food reviews on food and what attracts my eye is this website called 8 Crabs, an award-winning crab delivery that sends piping hot Sri Lankan crab dishes right to your doorstep within an hour.

Now, let's look at their website for more information and details on how these succulent crabs come out big and fresh even though they are from Sri Lanka.

Generally crabs travel about 500m every night and they prefer to live alone.  However many crab farmers breed their crabs in confined spaces for more profits, thus causing stress on the crabs.  Ammonia is released from the crabs due to confined spaces which is also a sign of decomposition.  And many restaurants prefer to purchase these farmed crabs as they are cheaper and they use a lot of gravies to cover up the ammonia smell.  *Wow, this is something new to me*

As for the Sri Lankan crabs, their fishermen set out to sea on a daily basis and this means less stress for the crabs as the time the crabs spend away from their natural habitat is minimized. These wild catch crabs from Sri Lanka are meatier, tastier, bigger and less watery, having been geographically blessed with the ideal conditions for crabs to live and reproduce.  Moreover, the premises to the airport is only an hour away and packing the fresh crabs just need 45 minutes.  To ensure freshness, the crabs are caught, flown, prepared and delivered to your doorstep within 12 hours.  This is one of the special process that 8 Crabs company in Singapore has to offer to their customers, the only company in Singapore using grade AAA premium Sri Lankan sourced wild crabs!  Not only that, they have their own award-winning chefs to prepare and cook these succulent crabs daily to guarantee the best flavour and taste.

My Singapore friends and readers, you are really fortunate to have this privilege of tasting crabs without the hustle going out to queue and to beat the crowd.  With 8 Crabs online delivery, you can sit in the comfort of your own home, enjoying the succulent taste of the crabs cooked to perfection.  How to order?  Here is what you do with these simple steps....

1.  Go to the website - https://www.8crabs.com

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
