How To Handle My Handheld Sewing Machine?

ANNIVERSARY SALES and I ended up ordering a few items from Shopee and Lazada.  Actually only 4 items, all free shipping.... even a bottle of raw honey was one of the items I bought!  It was very nicely packed with bubble wrap, weighed at 1kg, the bottle must be heavy, not the honey.... Other than this, I also bought hair dye and a 44 sen spectacle clip and the latest to arrive was this portable sewing machine!

Handheld sewing machine as it is called.... and I have never really used a sewing machine before in my whole life.  I am no good in art and craft, I don't like sewing and now I am wondering whether I could handle this .... gadget...?

The purpose of buying this machine is for my 2-year-old curtains (ooopsss!) which are way too heavy to go into my washing machine.  I was thinking of cutting the curtain into half and then sew it back... so what I need is a good pair of scissors (going to borrow from my friend) and then then sew the edges back.  So my 2 pieces of curtain will become 4 pieces instead once I know how to handle this thingy below.....

Have anyone use this before?
There is an instruction paper but
the wordings are wayyyyy too small to read!
Free with these multi color thread, needles etc..etc...
Needs 4 AA batteries....
Ok, I have everything....
Now... what shall I do.....
I better try it on a piece of rag first before I cut up my curtains...
Otherwise I might end up buying new curtains!

  1. Bought something similar few years back from weekend market bazaar. Used once and now collecting dust. Lol.

    Good luck with your sewing.

  3. Does it work? My missus did buy a few like this but I do not think she found them useful. Maybe she tried once or twice and that was it, no more!

  4. Does the hand get tired fast holding it to sew?

  6. Interesting! Quite worth it that they provide so many spools of thread and sewing needles to. Maybe it is more suited for small sewing jobs. Sewing the edges of the curtain boleh kot. I really hate those instructions that come with microscopic print. Must read using magnifying glass. LOL!
