Halloween And Pumpkins

I thought today is Halloween but I was mistaken, it was yesterday... During my younger days, it was not as popular as it is today, maybe those days we were not so "exposed" but nowadays, the youth of today are having fun disguising as "terror" as much as possible...

And what is Halloween actually?  I went to Mr. Google to find out more and here is an extract from one of the websites....
Halloween originated as a pagan festival in parts of Northern Europe, particularly around what is now the United Kingdom. Many European cultural traditions hold that Halloween is a time when magic is most potent and spirits can make contact with the physical world. In Christian times, it became a celebration of the evening before All Saint's Day.

So it was last night, if I had known it earlier, I might not be able to have a restful sleep... hahaha.... Ok, jokes aside... the pictures were taken on the day I left Sacramento for the airport to come back to Malaysia... My sister stopped the car at the road side and I quickly scrambled down to take these....
It is a large vast of corn field land, cleared to make way for a maze during Halloween...
Every year the farm owner will make this field into a fun land...
A BIG MAZE in fact...
The kids will have a wonderful time here
playing with the Maze in this Maize field...
Too bad they haven't build the maze yet...
All they have were these 4 pumpkins waiting to be located...
To me, Halloween means scary faces
and Lots of Candies to eat!

  2. This year, Halloween is very commercialized. Everywhere businesses are flourishing due to the Halloween and people are happily painting their face making them look like a train wreck! How come they don't celebrate this way during the Hungry Ghost? Why they end up hiding at home pulak?
