Why Australia Is The Perfect Romantic Destination

Australia is best known for its dramatic scenery and laid back locals, however, it’s also an ideal getaway spot for couples. From the cosmopolitan cityscapes to its idyllic coastlines there are countless attractions that make Australia the perfect romantic holiday spot.

So for anyone tossing up ideas for their next couples’ getaway, here are a few reasons why Australia should be at the top of your list.

Cosmopolitan charm

Many people holiday in Australia for the beautiful natural scenery, but there’s also much to love about the country’s urban jungles. Big, brash and bold, Sydney is a sightseer’s dream. There’s no better way to appreciate the sunlight glinting off the harbour than by boat. So, step aboard one of the tall ships that cruise nearby and behold Harbour Bridge and the stunning and iconic Opera House.

Melbourne is another location that’s perfect for romance, with the city boasting a distinctly European charm. You and your partner can spend hours exploring the lane ways filled with quirky art galleries, tapas bars and coffee shops.

Finally, for anyone interested in a more laid-back atmosphere, head to the ‘City of Churches’, where the Adelaide dating scene boasts a relaxed and comfortable vibe.

Outstanding scenery

If you and your partner enjoy exploring the natural world, Australia is undoubtedly the holiday spot for you. With over 35,000 kilometres of coastline, Australia boasts everything from popular surf beaches to deserted coves and rock pools.

Some of the must see spots include Sydney’s laid-back Bronte Beach, Adelaide’s fun-loving Glenelg and beautiful Lorne, a two hour drive from Melbourne.

When you’re finished visiting the coastline, inland Australia also boasts some beautiful romantic destinations. Watching the sunset over Kakadu National Park and exploring the wonders of Katherine Gorge are sure to reignite a sense of excitement and adventure in any relationship.

A world away from reality

One of the best things about a romantic getaway to Australia is the opportunity to truly escape from life’s usual stresses. Whether you prefer a deserted beachside hut or a luxury resort, you’re sure to find it here.

One of the best couples’ holidays in Australia is ‘glamping’ or glamorous camping, which is available in stunning Jervis Bay. Whatever your ideal romantic holiday is, when you enjoy it in Australia you are guaranteed that relaxed feeling of being a world away from reality.

Romantic activities

Not all couples’ holidays are filled with hours of reading by the pool. There are plenty of more adventurous activities that are perfect when enjoyed together.

Why not take a balloon ride over the stunning Hunter Valley whilst enjoying a champagne breakfast at sunrise? Or, for adventurous couples, a horse-riding trek through the Snowy Mountains allows you to enjoy some of the country’s most picturesque landscapes together. Foodie couples are also in for a treat, with some of the freshest seafood, vineyards and produce right on your doorstep.

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
