Book-Mas Tree In Straits Quay, Penang

How come we always drop by to Straits Quay, Penang?  I have lost count already, I thought we would give it a miss this time but since my sister and nephew have not been there before, we ended up there once again.  One thing for sure, we have not been there during Christmas before... so it is nice for a change too to see something new then...

At the entrance....
Pity the two boys... the sun was just too hot for them!
We ladies are smarter... we took a picture away from the sun...
And thus the "blurness" and not sharpness... LOL...

There was some kind of activity going on.. not sure what though...
Still at the entrance...
Yes, still at the entrance.. hahaha...
Here we are.... at the lobby...
We spent some minutes here... admiring the yachts in broad daylight...
Tracking down the owner... can you see him? :)
I think my nephew enjoyed himself tremendously...
Same with these three too....
In the midst of these books, I saw my favourite author... Sidney Sheldon!
Admiring the person who thought of this idea...
Book-Mas Tree...
Not easy to pile them up like a Christmas tree...
Great Idea!

  2. Wahhhh!!!! Your sons puteri lilin, scared of the sun kah? Muahahahahaha!!!! I guess the books are not for sale - imagine if someone wants one at the bottom of the pile, the whole tree would come tumbling down. Would be nicer if they can make a bigger one!

  6. So terror they make the Book-Mas tree. Something new & not easy. Thumbs Up to those who took the effort to do it. You look so small when sandwiched between your dons.

  11. Hello Claire,

Have you eaten at the nyonya restaurant in Straits quay before?

About the book tree, I wonder did they use some sort of adhesive to stick the books together.
